We have been staying in villas off site and are thinking about staying at one of the Disney Villas. Can anybody who has stayed in them please let me know what the vacilities in them are like such as the kitchen equipment as we like to do our own thing rather than rely on hotel facilities.

Do you mean staying at one of the Disney Vacation Club properties?

If so it would depend of the type of unit you booked as they do Studios, One Bedrooms, Two Bedrooms and 3 Bedroom Grand Villas.

The studios have a Kitchenette which has toaster, fridge & mircowave but all the other units do have Kitchen facilities including a cooker.

I am sure if you ask on the DVC board they will be more help as we have never stayed in one but we did the DVC while we were there last year.

As Elise said, Staying in one of the villa's on Disney property means you have to buy into DVC or rent points from a DVC owner, check out the DVC board for more info. If it's just more room onsite your after then one of the All Star resorts has now got family suites available.

you can also rent via Disney for cash although it is expensive, roughly $425 (for July, unsure what the rates are off peak and for xmas) per night for the 2 bedroom which sleeps 8.

2 bedroom had washer / dryer, iron etc, full kitchen , living room and 2 bedroom each with their own bathroom and t.v..

Thanks for the info but i think that we will stay with renting a private villa as before. :goodvibes
It's like that old saying better the devil you know then the one you : :flower1: :goofy: :maleficen :thanks:

If you've been used to renting a private villa, the DVC villas will probably be a let-down in terms of space. Even the Grand Villas are very small compared with having a whole house to yourselves. Most of the kitchens couldn't really be described as much more than a kitchenette.

The advantage over a private villa is that you're onsite. As much as I love private villas, the proximity of BWV and BCV to Epcot is a big bonus . A mixture of both is the best solution, for us - private villa for the most part together with a few days onsite.
