Disney Videography

So I know that the song selections for Disney Videography are...umm...not great, to say the least. But for those who did use them, what songs did you choose? Ones with or without words?? We're having a hard time deciding and picturing what the video will look like. The videos they have on the website are all instrumental but I know they're just examples.

We haven't submitted our songs yet-- we were hoping new ones would be added-- but we're thinking either Romanzo or Enchantment for the first song. I have no idea for the second song, however. They recommend choosing an upbeat song, and honestly the only one I see on the site is "Hey Soul Sister". I'm not interestd in using that for my wedding video. What songs are you thinking?

The only song we love and are definitely using is "God Gave Me You" by Dave Barnes. We would prefer the country version by Blake Shelton but the one available on there is good too. The other song we like so far is "This Kind of Love" by Sister Hazel, it's okay.
We'll see The form they sent us said we had to pick before our wedding (Jan 28th), you didn't have to pick until after?? Hopefully they get some more songs on there!

No, you don't have to pick before your wedding, but my understanding is they won't start editing your film until after you pick.

Why don't you guys send in a CD with your own music choices? Thats what we did for ours. We used a Disney instrumental one from their DFTW cd, but we also sent in some that we knew we wanted on our video for a very long time, it's our song

Wooooah when was your wedding? You used Disney's videography? We were told only songs from songfreedom.com were an option

We were told it has to be songs from that website because they have the rights to those songs. It's illegal to use random music on the video apparently, which I guess makes sense....not that I'm happy about it!

I used Disney videography and am not happy at all about the song choices...You have 6 months to pick your songs after your wedding...so I only have until Dec 11. Yikes! As of right now, I think I'm going to go with Enchantment and This Kind of Love by Sister Hazel.

We, too, used Disney Videography and were so underwhelmed by songfreedom..which is now the only way to get songs for your Disney Videos.

For our EPCOT bridal videography, we used Hey Soul Sister....

But we still haven't picked our wedding montage song. So tough. We live in St. Louis, where SongFreedom is headquartered and my wife, who is a photographer, uses their site and is in contact with them.

They just signed a number of new artists, the most mainstream of which is Colbie Caillat. One of those songs has meaningful lyrics to us and once it is up on the site, we will probably choose it. But it's not even close to instrumental, if that's what your looking for.

Not a lot of mainstream...but because we use them, we are often in contact with them. They are nice people. They are trying.

Man...12/11 is so close....they are trying to get some other mainstream artists signed but it is not a fast process so probably not before your 6 months are up...I wonder if they would give a month exemption.....doesn't hurt to ask.

That's good to hear that they are adding a couple of more mainstream artists...I am definitely going to ask for an extenstion! Thanks!
