Has anyone done the "ceremony only" Disney videography? My understanding is they just record the processional and the ceremony through cameras already in place in the wedding pavilion, that it is unedited footage on one CD and costs $900. If you did it, what did you think of the quality of the sound and the video? If our vow renewal ceremony is ~20 minutes and we pay $900 for a 20 minute video, is that crazy?

I would love to hear from anyone who did this and what they thought of their decision and the finished product.

One thing to know about this - those cameras are fixed and no one will be zooming in for close-ups. It will be as if you set up 2 cameras at the back of the pavilion and just let them roll, then dumped the footage on a DVD.

Considering that A Moment 2 Remember offers an edited video of the ceremony and reception for $699 (or an edited video of up to 2 hours for just $499) and that Apex Media offers 5 hours of coverage for $495, it doesn't sound like a very good deal to me.... :confused3

we did the whole video package fr disney and the part fr WP came out great the sound was clear there were closeups and it caught all the moments both first looks, there are like 4-5 cameras and they pick up everything, as for price thats kinda high.

we just got our sample ceremony download back from Disney.. and I think that that's what you get when you buy just the ceremony. If you wanna watch it..just pm and i'll send you the link! I think you'll like it.. they did a really great job..the only problem is you have to download it, but it only took me 8 minutes.

But I do agree with Carrie on the pricing.. they are really high! Its up to you though.. in the end I was glad we used Disney because there weren't so many video cameras running around to get the best shot.. it all depends on you though!

The full video package comes with 2 roaming videographers who can move around and shoot close-ups. The package they are trying to sell Cam only has the fixed cameras at the back of the pavilion, and I'm worried she'll be disappointed in the final product. :sad2:

Carrie -- I really think you are right. Stan has some awesome packages in the combined pricing with Randy but even those packages are for a lot of hours and I think I am leaning toward just doing the ceremony, though it would be so much fun to have video from the reception, especially when our guest/mouse of honor arrives.

I had Stan stay for five hours, I haven't seen the finished product yet, his sneak peak link is in my TR link. I must just say its the best thing we ever did as the day went so fast it was just like a blur, nothing really sank in until we started to have dinner. I wanted him there to catch the mouse moments ;0)
