Disney Vias credit card

We used our Disney Visa to pay for our trip. You have 6 months to pay it off interest free, plus you get 1% of what you spend. If you want to pay cash for your trip just use your visa and then pay the cash to the visa bill when you get it, you'll still be getting your 1%. And you do get the $50 on board credit for using your visa to book your cruise. Call and ask for your reward dollars about 3 weeks before you trip just to make sure it gets to you in time for you cruise. It usually only takes about a week or two but better safe than sorry.

We used our Disney Visa card to pay for our cruise. Afterwards I saw the promotion for the $50 onboard credit. I kept thinking about it and wondering if I should contact them to see if I could get the credit although I hadn't known about it when I first made my reservation but I never got around to actually calling about it.

During our cruise, we were pleasantly surprised to find a note in our stateroom stating that we had a $50 onboard credit A little pixie dust - didn't even have to request it and the onboard credit was applied automatically.

My friend just got a letter from Bank One saying that they have the right to withdraw the Dream Reward program at any time and you could lose any earned reward points not already put on a dream rewards card.

So, transfer your already earned points to a dream reward card as you accumulate them to save them from being lost if they Bank One withdraws the program.

If I booked through Costco and didn't pay my deposit with my Disney card can I still get the $50 onboard credit if I pay the balance with my Disney Visa...or does it have to be booked through DCL?

Once the points are on the card, do they expire in a certain time frame?

I was wondering the same thing...we are going on a cruise in 2005 and I have already paid my deposit with another card. I asked the TA "if Disney Visa has another $50 onboard credit for paying with Disney Visa for travel in 2005, can I take advantage of that offer?". She told me that if Disney Visa comes out with that program again for 2005, she would credit my original card the deposit and then charge the deposit to the Disney Visa.

I just applied for one yesterday and hopefully I'll get the $50 dream reward dollars too!:D

BTW - we did not book through DCL. We used Small World Vacations, so I think even if you booked through Costco you can take advantage of the offer.

I just e-mailed du to see if we will get the $50 on board credit. We used our disney card for the down payment. We are cruising 11/19/05. Two stops at CC!!!

Dont bother using your Disney Visa if you booked through AAA. I was told my AAA and by Disney that the $50 on board credit could not be combined with AAA's $100. on board credit. The only advantage is the free financing!

When I think about it when I first booked through DCL I asked the lady if there was any incentive to charge the deposit on my Disney Visa and she said no. then I switched my reservation over to Costco . Anyone know where the best place to get an answer? I know probably thorough my TA which was Costco. Do I have to wait another 45 min. just to get an answer? Anyone know of another way to get in touch with Costco about this shipboard credit?
