Is there any reason I shouldn't donate all of our old Disney clamshell VHS tapes? We don't have most of them on DVD, but we rarely watch dvd's and never watch vhs. I have them boxed up and ready to go, but thought I would ask first.
I guess I should add that they would be donated to a good cause........ a Band Boosters Yard Sale that is raising money to send the marching band to WDW next spring!![]()
I love when people donate them - that way I can buy them.
I'm so much happier with VHS than DVDs. It seems like the DVDs scratch easily but our VHS seem to last forever. Plus, we are on a very strict budget and I can afford to purchase a used VHS but we can't afford to buy DVDs very often.
BTW, I've never found a Disney VHS less than $2, including at Goodwill or garage sales. Many times they are priced $2.50 - $5.
I would think a charity would be a good idea, your choice.. I have no ideas, I would say though go through them (and do a little homework) as far as value, if you own an original Lady & The Tramp for example no way would that leave my handsin fact it would be put in a safe & left to family in a will
We've kept all of ours and will probably keep them for the grandkids (if we have them) someday. I can't bring myself to buy a DVD or BluRay of something I already own.
