Love, love, love Disney! I have been several times so I generally know the "lay of the World," so to speak. Here's my dilemma - I am going down to run the Tower of Terror 13K at the end of this month. Originally I was going with a friend but now I'm going solo and trying to make my "plan." Here's the particulars:

- Arriving flight 9:15 Friday morning (plan one park this day)
- Race expo, hang out at pool (don't want to walk all day) and race on Saturday night
- Sleep in, quick shop trip to DTD, then fly home

Normally I would say MK for sure with only one day, BUT I just went to Disneyland and California Adventure last month so I'm wondering if I should do something else. My last WDW trip was two years ago with DD age 3 and we didn't really do EPCOT. Also, the race is at MGM and there is a post-race party where Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, and Great Movie Ride will be operating.

Any thoughts? It's possible I could swing a second park on Sunday, but I really need to save my money, so let's just assume that's not a possibility. I'm thinking no AK on the day I arrive because it closes earlier than the others and I won't have a full day there. I'm also thinking no MGM because of the race. MK is sort of the mother-ship and I hate to go to WDW and NOT go to MK, but I did just go to DLP, which is similar (but not the same!) I'm just not feeling enthused about EPCOT, though.

So as you can see....I need help :confused3

IMHO I'd go for Epcot. There is just so much to do. You can browse at your own pace. There is so much to do, see and experience. If you feel like thrill rides, you have them. If you want good food...it's there (and so much to choose from)! If you want to experience culture or relaxation...you got it!

Let us know what you decide!

I tend to agree, I'd say EPCOT is by far the best choice. But on the other hand, AK does have Expedition Everest, which is IMHO the best new ride Disney has to offer.
The perks of EPCOT though are definately the fireworks show(try to get in the Rose & Crown in England with their last seating), the food(my favorite is Japan for the hibachi), and they still have character visits throughout the day in each country.
The last time I was there, in April, it was during the Flower and Garden show, and I must have timed it just right with my sister, because in every country around the lake, we ran into a character, and we even saw Piglet in England, which I was told was rare.

My vote would also be for Epcot, you can take a more relaxed pace see some shows at the different countries. I would get a fastpass for Soarin when you get there and you can ride test track in the singles rider lane. Enjoy your trip! :) Linda
