Disney value resort room capacity question

I know the Disney website states that for All Star Movies there is a room capacity (4 plus 1 child under 3) but is it possible to book a room with 5 or 6 people (2 adults and 3 or 4 children)? Ages of the children 4-7. Will Disney allow this in their standard rooms or will they make you get a family suite? We can always bring a blow up mattress but I don't want to break any rules. Anyone with past experience dealing with this? Thanks!

No. It would violate the fire code.

Either a Family Suite or 2 rooms.

They won't let you book it. It's not just about comfort level, there are fire & safety codes that have to be observed.

Nope, you won't be allowed to book a value room with that number of guests. At a value resort you need either 2 rooms or a family suite. And if you go the 2 rooms route, you need to request that they connect (have the inside door between them). If you end up with 2 rooms that don't connect an adult has to sleep in each room.

Disney takes their room occupancy limits very seriously, and they never make exceptions. At All Star Movies, you'd be required to get two rooms, but there's no guarantee that they'd be connected, so you'd have to have one adult on each reservation. To have everyone together at a value resort, you'd need a family suite at All Star Music or Art of Animation.

Refurbished rooms have no space for a blow up mattress, just for information purposes :rolleyes1

You might consider the Cabins instead of a family suite. Or if there is only 5 people, consider Caribbean Beach or Riverside.

If you really want a value or have 6 people, I would consider the two rooms, and request connecting rooms.

We are a family of 5, and our least expensive options are Caribbean Beach or Port Orleans Riverside as they both have rooms for 5. They usually are considerably less expensive than a family suite or 2 rooms at a value, plus you get an upgraded resort with better amenities. For 6 people, 2 value rooms, a family suite or a Ft. Wilderness cabin are going to be your choices before the pricey larger DVC properties.
