Disney Vacay with the Love Bugs (New 6/23 update ~ Chef Mickeys)

Picking pearls is one of my most favorite things to do in all of WDW! We have the same carriage necklace! princess:

Isn't that such a cute carriage & sells at such a great price! I am so happy that I seen the information on the carriage on the Disboards.
I wear it sometimes & have received several compliments on it.

Our first KP mission was in Japan as well. We had a little bit of trouble with that one. Not sure why, maybe because it is such a big area to cover:confused3.

PaP looks like fun! Lexi got a beautiful pearl. I am hoping to do PaP with Chloe for our next family trip whenever that may be.

The Japan KP mission was very fun, I think the challange may make it better.

Chloe is going to have so much fun picking out her pearl the next time y'all go!

You had me @ "Chapter Links" :worship: I, too read more TR w/ them than w/out. Joining In. Better late than never!!:thumbsup2

I love what you wrote - 'You had me @ chapter links'!
That's definitely how I feel about TR's!
I am so glad to have you here! :) I am only 1/2 way through my trip, so you're not late.

Hey, I think I saw that van driving around Greenville!!! ;) I remember laughi...., uh, admiring it!

Don't be jealous, I know you wish you were as cool as me in a rodolph mini-van!!! :cool2:

Ahhh...looks like you guys were having a great time. We've done the Japan KP Mission twice. (Some variety between the two times.) Really Japan is one of our favorite countries in WS...seems like we usually spend about 3 hours there. Love the Candy Lady (Myuki) also, but loved her better when you got to keep the candy. DD got a kick out of pick-a-pearl, but didn't want it in Jewelry, it just sits in her "treasure box"!

We didn't get to see the Candy Lady. My kids would have loved that!
A treasure box is a great place to keep the pearl. I've read several people saying they're saving pearls from each trip to use for later.

I love the pick of Lexi and Levi with the Kimmunicator-- they look so focused and determined!! Seems like Lexi had fun with picking a pearl-- it's such a unique experience.

They were all into the missions!
Picking the Pearl was cute & fun to do. I wear the necklace more than Lexi!

i keep seeing pics of the pick a pearl but we have never ventured in to do it...maybe next trip.

it looks like a lot of fun.

did they charge you to place it in the necklace that your brought?

sure it is. :goodvibes

The pick-a-pearl is a fun way to get a souviner. You should definitely try it on your next trip.
I can't totally remember now, but I think I put the pearl in our necklace when we left the store.
The cage on the necklace opens up & you put the pearl in it. Very easy to do.
If they did put it in for us, they did not charge anything.

I loved picking a pearl in Japan! I'm so upset with myself that I didn't take pictures though. :sad1: I guess it's because we had dinner at Via Napoli and I kept checking the time. It's such a fun experience!

Picking the pearl was very fun. Since you didn't get pictures, that just gives you a good excuse to do it again on your next trip! :thumbsup2

Love Lexi's pearl! I just ordered those carriages for my girls. I look forward to doing the PaP next trip!

Also looking forward to Kim Possible. Glad to hear that the kids were able to share. I hope my two will be so good. :rolleyes1

The carriages are very nice. I wear the necklace too & I've received several compliments on it. You are going to have fun doing it.

You will also have fun doing the KM missions. You can get more than one kimunicater. I started to, but didn't want us to split up.

Great update! :goodvibes Pick a pearl is such a fun experience.

Looks like a great day at Epcot!

It was a great day & picking a pearl was fun! Very hot, but still a great day.

I'm all caught up with your TR now. What a great keepsake the pearl and carriage will make , I wish we had done that! Loving your report!

Welcome! :welcome: and thanks!
Next time you go to WDW, you need to pick a pearl. It was a cute way to get the keepsake!

yay how fun!! I'm glad that her pearl fit. Do you remember how big it was?? I'm afraid that ours won't fit so I've been wishing for a pearl smaller than 8mm!!!

My friends and I did the Kim Mission a few times when it first opened..we weren't too thrilled with it but I can see how kids L and L's ages would love it!

I'm glad you had some fun doing a Kim Possible mission and picking a pearl. We didn't do any missions this year, but my daughters did come home with some new jewelry. ;)

I just love Lexi's pick a pearl! What a neat experience! I've never done one myself, but maybe some day... :cloud9:

Sounds like you all had a wonderful time in WS that day!!! :goodvibes

I love how excited both Lexi and the cast member at Japan were over picking the pearl!

In one pic, it looks like Levi's hand is on Lexi's neck...I have to ask if they are more affectionate with one another in Disney? My daughters walk close together so that their arms are touching (or they put an arm around each other). At home, they don't do this...

Bummer that you weren't able to get your picture with the Beast. I had really wanted my picture with both of them as well, but we had to settle for one with just Belle.

i see when our next trip gets closer i will have to ask you where you got the necklace at...i will forget if i find out now.

and i was going to ask how much it was, but when i looked back at the pictures i see in many of them that it was 15.95 plus tax...at least i think that is what the cents part was if i remember right

pretty reasonable i think.:thumbsup2
not on the van ;)
:sad2:

ohh wait a minute that wasnt marvs comment...watch out you are starting to morph into him.:scared1:

I don't remember the size of the pearl. I did not take any notes from the trip & it's getting harder & harder to remember the details. I remember I was so scared that the pearl might not fit in the cage. I'm so glad it did. The cage was very inexpensive on ebay & there were a lot of different styles. It would not be much of a waste of money if you ordered it & your pearl did not fit.

The KP missions are probably more geared to the kids.
I wish they still aired the show on the Disney channel. L & L could barely remember the show.

I'm glad you had some fun doing a Kim Possible mission and picking a pearl. We didn't do any missions this year, but my daughters did come home with some new jewelry. ;)

The missions were fun.
It's always nice to have some new jewelry. I've been enjoying wearing Lexi's necklace!

You will have to try pick-a-pearl in Japan some day. I'm glad I read about it on the Dis because we probably would not have done it if I had not read about it. It was a really cute way to get a WS souvenir. :)

Can I just say how much I LOVE your trip report? Your kids are so cute and you guys are just such an adorable family :)

Also I just wanted to let you know that your link for your newest update isn't correct. Just so you can correct it :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us, I always look forward to new updates from you!

I love hearing about the Pick A Pearl experience! I want to do that someday myself, it looks like so much fun.

The Kim Possible mission looks like a blast - great pics of everyone concentrating so hard on that phone. :goodvibes What a shame that woman told you the answer! :sad2:

Hi, Amy!! Love the update! I'm glad y'all had fun with the KP Mission, but sorry that they lady gave the answer away. I'm sure she was just trying to be helpful though!:)
Laxi's pearl was beautiful!! I've always wanted to do that, but just never have. Last time we were in Epcot, I came close, but decided not too. I know you told us this earlier, but where was it that you got the Carriage cage?

They are affectionate with each other at home too. They are the most affectionate during the morning & night and during the day they fight!

Last night we had open house for Middle School next year. It is going to be the 1st time that they will not be in the same class before. Lexi cried her herself to sleep last night over this and other things about Middle School. I'm hoping it will all turn out good.

Bummer that you weren't able to get your picture with the Beast. I had really wanted my picture with both of them as well, but we had to settle for one with just Belle.

Was just Belle out when you were there? That line was soooooo long.
I guess you just have to pick & choose on every trip who you'll stay in line for, because there is no way you can get a picture with every character!
We already had our picture made with Belle during our meals at Akershus & the Castle, so she was done. I'm gonna get Beast next time!

Awwww, you are so sweet!

Thanks for letting me know about my link. I just went & corrected them! :)

I just seen that you have a trip report & I can't wait to read it!!!!!
Your link also says your going to Disney in 2 weeks?

I love hearing about the Pick A Pearl experience! I want to do that someday myself, it looks like so much fun.

You will enjoy doing the pick-a-pearl. Maybe when Henry gets a little older, he can pick one out for you. Levi liked watching Lexi do it.

Thanks, we did have fun with the missions. I do know she was just trying to help, so I wasn't really mad at her. We were just bummed not having the challenge.
You will have to get a pearl next time, it's fun. I've read on here where people get one on every trip to collect, but this was just fun-to-do-just-one-time for us.
I bought the cage on Ebay super cheap. I was worried it would turn, because it's so cheap, but it still looks great.
I'm gonna post the carriage link on the next post.

I agree that it kind of ruins the fun of the kim possible missions if people tell you where things are, luckily you guys were still able to have fun it.

Lexi's pearl carriage looks too cute!

Can't wait for more:goodvibes
