Hi all Disners,
Going to Disney Oct 7-15, staying at the Vistana... got an SUV for the 9 days for $195 (woohoo) and got my park tickets. What I don't have is my darn airfare!!!!!! I've been under too much stress and others have told me to wait as I had some time to play with and air will probably go down towards the end of summer and have some sales. Does anyone agree to this?? It has gone up and the prices are crazy now. My other option was to wait for Southwest but I hear they are cheaper these days. Does anyone know when SW will post fares for October?? I am coming from Boston. I'd like a morning flight there and a late afternoon flight back. Didn't get JB have more direct flights last year?? I remember going at 6:55am but I don't see that flight, I was wondering if they were holding flights back or if they schedule completely changed. Ok can you tell I need help and ALL the advice I can get???

H E L P ! ! ! !

:rolleyes1

I booked my late Oct flight on Delta back in early March. Got direct flights for $177 pp. That's a 7:25 am flight down and a 3 pm back to Boston. Now......with all that's been going on with Delta, I'm sure that will change several times before we get on the plane. But for that $177, I'm willing to change some stuff...hopefully, it will stay direct though.
If I were you, I would set an amount that you are comfortable paying for airfare. If you see something that comes close to that amount, then jump on it. I'm not at all sure we're going to see a lot of those really cheap fares any longer.

I too am waiting for Southwest flights for late Sept/October. We got the free dining package, but I'm afraid we'll end up paying more for airfare with the way gas prices are going. I'm crossing my fingers that Southwest fares come out in the next week or two. If not, I may just end up booking Jet Blue for approx. $250/person, that's about the cheapest I've seen and the kids love the TV screen.

Hi,
I was checking around and noticed that there appeared to be more connecting flights from Jet Blue as well. I really remember last year them offering only 1 with connections. Airtran had there prices out for Orlando from Boston as well but there flights are also connections. I flew last year and plan to this year as well out of Providence on SW direct but the fares didn't come out until August I believe. It does stink to have to wait especially when everything else is booked and you know what the cost is going to be. Last year I think I paid 220.00/pp/.I'm afraid what it will be this year! Good Luck to you!

Does AirTran fly out of Boston?

BTW, please share your rental info...$195 for SUVfor 9 days? Who'd you book thru & what codes did you use. We'll be there the same time, best I could come up with was 8 days, mid size thru alamo for $162.

I booked it like 5 months ago on Alamo and used a Walmart code. I just went on the site and it doesn't come out the same as the price has gone up. I was shocked to get it and I am guaranteed it as long as it stays booked. I remember one year I booked like 3 different reservations just so I can hold the prices and then cancelled the other 2 when I knew for sure how many people were going. I am sorry! I do have the codes if you are still interested to play around.

Lucky you! I got a similar deal for June w/Alamo mini-suv for $117 for 8 days:banana: I've been checking oct. for months...it's on my to do list each week to plug in all the codes/id's, etc. Finally, had some movement a few weeks ago.

We may even forego the car in Oct & try out ME since we'll probably be onsite the whole trip.

Hope you find a good deal on airfare. Have you tried travelzoo's site for comparison offers?
