Ok, I haven't paid attention to the other DVC 25th Anniversary events because I wouldn't be in FL at the time, but as it turns out we will be at DLR during this "celebration." I'm a little confused because it costs $35/adult and $22/child. Hasn't the majority of the WDW DVC celebration events been free, with a few exceptions?

So why is one of the only CA DVC events a paid event? I feel this is totally bogus...

Was the Magic Kingdom events earlier this year free? What exactly makes this worth this price? There is NO FOOD, only non-alcoholic beverages, and some characters. This is BOGUS. I am so calling MS. Bull**it.

For reference see the image below:

So skip it. That is what we'll be doing. $35 plus tax and gratuity (?!?). Nope, not for us.

Skipping it for sure. It just was such a disappointment that they want a pretty penny for what is really like a hyped up "Welcome Home Wednesday." Given that this event was free:

I mean this event isn't even in a park!?!

I am going. I cringed when I made the reservation due to the cost but since I've never been to one of these events and there are so few on the West Coast, curiosity got the best of me. I'm glad it's not at a park. I don't have an annual pass to DL so having it at the hotel works better for me. After the event, I'll post my thoughts on whether or not I thought it was worth the $.
