Disney v. Royal Caribbean

I have sailed both DCL and RCCL (although I have more experience with RCCL), NCL, Costa, Crystal and Celebrity. I think RCCL (Voyager class) appeals to people who like action sports (rock climbing, ice skating, in-line skating, miniature golf) and less theming. I am one of the most obsessed Disney fans out there but I really, really enjoy other cruise lines. The Voyager class ships on RCCL are perfect for my two boys, 12 and 15. Even my daughter loved their kids programs. RCCL often has price deals that DCL simply can't offer since they have only two ships.
The food is a bit better on RCCL in my opinion. I guess it comes down to how much you enjoy the Disney theme.

My family has two cruises planned for next year, a cruise with my husband on NCL's new Jewel...a romance suite with butler, concierge, and ten restuarants and free style dining and a casino for a little blackjack :cool1: ...($2500 for two w/full suite perks)

And a 4 night DCL cruise in March for me (Mom) and two of my three kids. (the other one will be in Europe ...tough life! :goodvibes
My 15 year old is actually excited to try the Wonder and I am anxious to get to Castaway Cay which we missed on our last infamous hurricane cruise.

I think you will be happy on either cruise and the bottom line will be how the variables factor in to your life: budget, activities, interests.

ENJOY!
