Can someone please help me out?

I looked on the Disney UK site the other day and costed out accommodation and tickets for OKW for 14 night. It gave me a price I was happy with but needed to check about time off first.

I went to book it yesterday and a blocker came up saying I couldn't book for more than 10 days (We are staying for 14 nights)!! This hadn't come up the evening before.

I found a number to call and explained the website problem with an english lady who said she wasn't aware of a problem and would I be happy to do it over the phone. The next minute I was put through to a gentleman answering the phone; "Good morning Virgin Holidays" who the quoted me almost 2K more than the Disney UK site!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since then the only number that I can find is the 0870 22 22 900 telephone number which puts me through to an American who then goes on to quote me Disney.com prices which are £500 more expensive!!! I've tried this 3 times now and I'm at a loss for what to do.

Can anyone help with another number where I can speak to someone English and ask when the website will be corrected to allow me to book for more than 10 days?!!

Thanks.

I have booked through disney.co.uk and when I ring you always get through to USA and then just ask for the people in the UK. They are based in Hammersmith, London, but I think it is part of Virgin holidays as the booking comes up on their details as well. I dont have another number, sorrry

Thanks for your reply, dates I was looking at are 16-30 October 2010.

I have spoken in the past to someone on 0870 44 44 900 and whilst the accent was American the quote was in £££.

I just tried it and it worked for me.

Which occommodation type did you put in and how many people?

Hi Jane I have tried all 3 types of accommodation and it comes out ok.

jtlover - thanks for all your help on this, so good of you to take the time to try and help me out.

Can I ask, are you going into; www.disney.co.uk, then clicking on travel page then scrolling down to very bottom of the page to 'plan your trip' - In a dark blue box? URL reads - www.disney.co.uk/travel/...

I have no problem when I google Disney Uk and it takes me to url www.disneyworld.disney.go.com and there is a box in the middle saying ; Quote your trip (white and light blue box).

The only problem is that by using the disney.co.uk/travel I could get 14 nights for 2 adults and two children (who will then be 4&6) for £1554 for a one bed villa and full DDP.

When I do it through www.disneyworld.disney.go.com it was £1554 for a studio and something like £1882 for a one bed villa, I can't remember off the top of my head.

I was amazed at what the other site was coming out with, I could also get WL full DDP for 14 nights, same dates for £1884, which I thought was a fantastic price!

I should have booked there and then because I got through to payment page no problem but then thought I should double check time off before completing the booking.

If you haven't tried the first url via the travel box on disney.co.uk, could you try and see if it blocks you from booking more than 10 days? Maybe this is what you've already been trying for me...

I'd like to know that all this planning hasn't driven me totally potty!!!

Thanks again,
Jane.

Johnny - sorry, meant to say thanks for the number. I shall try that tomorrow and see where I get.

I just went on www.disneyworld.co.uk and went to the bottom of the page and input the dates for hotel and tickets and went through the pages of what to include and came up with the same price as you.

It didnt block me it went to the deposit page after inputting the detail. I suspect you havent done it in the right way?

Have a go with the www.disneyworld.co.uk website and go to the bottom of the page and input your dates and then select OKW on the next page and then your tickets and then dining plan and it will come to the deposit page which will want £200 deposit (£50 per person) I assume it will be this as I dont know what they charge for children?

Thanks, but that is it not the same site with the much cheaper prices. If you look, the £1554 is for a studio. A 1 bed villa is £2128. On the other site I was quoted £1554 for a 1 bed studio, so you can see why I'm so eager for that blocker to be removed and let me book more than 10 days.

Once again thank you for all the effort you've put in to trying to help me, but I'll continue trying to get in via the travel page on www.disney.co.uk/travel/ as by going through www.disney.co.uk it will then take me automatically (as it did you) to the .com page on the url and charge me £574 more for exactly the same room! Hopefully they will soon sort out their webpage and I'll be able to go ahead and book!! It seems silly to pay £574 more for the sake of waiting a few days in the hope they'll correct the error.
