Well, my daughter went to use her tv remote tonight and it's going haywire. It starts to enter 111 and gets all staticy. When I push numbers on the remote, it doesn't respond. We had to take the batteries out so we could use the up/down buttons on the TV or it kept trying to read from the remote. Almost like someone was pushing 3 digit channel numbers on the remote and it kept doing it.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I also use the adult remote with new batteries and nothing happened with it. Can't even use it.

If the problem is with two separate remotes, and both when "haywire" at about the same time, then the problem is probably in the IR receiver in the television itself. It's not a user-serviceable part, unfortunately. Depending on how much the television cost originally, it may or may not be worth fixing.

That's what I was afraid of. The one remote is definately "haywire" and the other won't even work at all. No power button, nothing. Guess I'll be calling around for prices on a new tv.

Thank you for responding.
