Disney TV at Sears for $29! Better Hurry

So far my dh has not had a cancellation. BUT....I think that will be coming since he did not make the order until Sunday morning and they are prob. getting caught up.
 
Called a few Sears near my house and one girl told me they had one. So I asked If i can transfer the sale from the other Sears and she said yes. I then asked (my mistake) if I can get the sale price I paid for online . Then another sales rep came on and said "now we dont have them in stock" and will not give the sales price and practically hung up the phone!!! Should I just go by anyway to see if they'll give it to me? Cuz its really not supposed to be ready till oct 25th or so... Ohhhh this is crazy...
 
Well, I just got a cancellation email because of a price error AND an email saying my credit card was declined! And I was using a Sears card that I KNOW has plenty of available credit since I never really shop at Sears!
What a crappy crappy way to do business! grr...
 

Count me as another one who got "duped". I am very upset with the way I was treated. I also understand a mistake but to leave the sale price up for 2 days, take orders, cancel orders and then to be told you can go ahead and buy it at the full price is wrong! (I would really be angry if they said the CC company denied the charges.)

I also went to the store Sat.eve. with my print-out because I was told over the phone that they had 2 (I only wanted 1) and that they would honor the sears.com price. When I got there they had 2 but after they showed the manager the printout they didn't have any.

When I got home I called and complained to both the retail sears cs line and the sears.com cs line.

All of this has reminded me why I NEVER shop at Sears. (It has probably been 4 years since I've been in one).

Anyway, I hate all the lies and I will also complain to the BBB.

I just looked on Sears website and my order still shows as processed even though I got an email saying it was canceled. Seems like they are getting their act together finally. :rotfl2:
 
Well, my story has a happy ending....I received an e-mail stating that 1 of my orders was ready for pick up, call my local sore to verify, and picked up my tv tonight. They also let me pick up the tv in my other order, even though the order was still processing.

I hope the rest of you successfully get the tvs.

BTW, I bought my TVs at the Duluth, MN store...
 
just went to their site they are a hundred and four dollars...help I want one...
 
I ordered the TV really late last night/this morning.. Printed off my "Processing" order form and took it to the store at 11 on my way to work- and got a TV! My first order didn't go through, the store refused to match the price from my printed off ad when I tried on Sunday.. but luckily the guy who was giving me the TV from the "Merchandise Pick Up" had NO clue what was going on, so he just put it in my car and wished me luck.. I even flat out told him the site had an error (After the TV was securely tucked in my car with all doors locked, of course) and he just laughed and said "You're the second today, I figured they must've been on sale or something." and I drove away with Mickey's TV happily filling my passenger seat.

Which Sears did you go to, Cutedisney? I also live in New York and I was able to get the TV from the store. Although they won't have it in stock until 10/25. But THEY ordered the TV for me themselves yesterday morning, since the link would not allow you to place the order anymore! So I am just waiting for it to come in!
 
I called the one in Lake Success and at first they said they had it then someone else said they didnt. So do you suggest I just go and order it for the full price ? Confused. Thanks for all posts on this matter.

My order has not yet been cancelled yet-I'm beginning to feel a sense of deja vu- kinda like junior high and being the last one picked for the softball team in PE. :earboy2:
 
Hey, I'm right here beside you, waiting to be 'picked'. My order is "processed" when I check order status by order number; it's non-existent when I check by my e-mail address & password; and I haven't gotten a cancellation e-mail yet.
 
I still have not received a cancellation notice from Sears?? I ordered very early Saturday morning....
Has anyone from NH had any luck?
 
I filed a complaint with my State Attorney Generals office, and also the BBB. I don't expect to get the TV because the web site clearly states the policys regarding pricing errors, but I do feel a complaint was nessessary because of the length of time it took to remove the item from the web site, and all of the dishones letters regarding CC being declined, being out of stock, etc....

I haven't read the entire thread. This post is probably directed to more than just annie.

The people ordering the item knew it was a pricing error when they ordered it. The website, and the UCC, allows a merchant to cancel orders for pricing errors. I suspect the letter regarding the item being out of stock wasn't dishonest, based on the number of orders the item probably showed as being back ordered.

Some of the internet bargain sites no longer list obvious pricing errors. Too many people jump in. The merchants used to give customers a small gift card for the inconvenience but now the orders just get canceled.

You knew it was a pricing error and you knew your order probably wouldn't be honored. The fact that Sears didn't cancel the order quick enough really isn't grounds to complain.
