I was supposed to get Disney Trivial Pursuits for Christmas but my mother left it too late so I was given the money for it instead.

I was wondering whether the Scene It Game was better (I know it's only available in Region1 DVD!)

I am familiar with other games in both series but not the Disney ones so I was hoping for some advise/opinion as most of you seem to have one or other (or both!)

Many thanks

Well I love my Disney Triivial Pursuit Jo - it's great for adults and children (though I am going to start making my DDs answer adult questions as they keep beating me :rotfl: )

I have not played Scene It so can't compare but TP gets my thumbs up :)

:teeth: I got Disney Scene it for Christmas and it appears to work fine on our cheap DVD player and the PS2!

We played it on Christmas day and everyone enjoyed it (both children and adults!)
Ive not played disney Trival Pursuit but i can describe disney scene it for you:

The basic game is very simple, you roll a dice and move around a board. You also roll a second dice and this tells you what type of question you have to answer. The questions can be from a card or from the dvd. The questions on the card are about song lyrics, describing a film and a random mix- There are cards for children and harder ones for Adults. There are also buzz cards which are similar to 'chance' cards in monopoly (eg 'the queen of hearts gets mad, move back 2 spaces')
The dvd questions involve a short clip from a disney film and then a question based on the clip (some are easy like 'what colour hat was so and so wearing' and some are more challenging such as what is the name of that persons side-kick').
The are also clips where everyone plays and there is a penalty if the roller is not the first person to get it correct. For example this could involve trying to guess a character from a hangman type game with a computer filling in random letters, a blurry character or perhaps still photos from a film and you have to guess what the film is (this one is quite hard!).

I thought i was a pretty good fan of disney films but some of the questions and clips ive never heard of! They use 'people' films as well as original cartoons of mickey and his pals and also the well known films such as 'finding nemo'. :earboy2:

I'd recommend it- I love the disney film clips- its like being in your own quiz show (sort of!) and you learn random disney trivia which is always fun!

HTH!

We got disney trivial Pursuit for xmas and it's a great game apart from the fact dd7 has won every game so far. :confused3

Can't comment on the other game i'm afraid.
