Disney Trivia Challenge

You got us! You got us! We give up!!!
What's the answer?

According to Disney the official reason that Mickey and Minney do not speak is because......

Are you ready.......

"Mickey and Minney speak the universal language of hugs and kisses."

And I am not kidding. Everybody clean off your monitors from the coffee that was sprayed and have a nice day!

:rotfl:

This is the most Disney of answers. I have never heard anything more Disney-fied than this answer (even on the Keys to the Kingdom tour). :lmao:

Thats like when they told me the wire out of the castle is so Cinders could watch cable!

I loved Keys to the kingdom, i want to do Backstage magic now!

They told us that too. I asked 'on stage' if that was the wire that tinkerbell fly down, and they said, "No silly, that is so Cinders can get cable TV." :lmao:

That day I learned to talk Disney. I have become very good at it, too.

Example:

When we go to Chef Mickey's I always complement Mickey on fixing a very good breakfast, and he always acknowledges that comment with a thumbs up. :woohoo:

I know, just shake your head.

I am crazydisneyman!

I was thinking "Because that would be Goofy!"

I overheard a tour while munching on a turkey leg in Liberty Square a few years ago... :rolleyes1

In Liberty Square, there are a bunch of colonial style doors not far from the Hall of Presidents. One of the doors has a small iron fence surrounding it. No gate in it... just a fence. Clearly this is not authentic colonial style! Why would Disney do this, and why just this one door?

I've heard that the railing surrounds a doorstep that came from somewhere historically significant (I want to say Monticello but I really can't remember). But I've also heard that's just a myth (at least Dave Smith said it's not true, anyway). So I'm not sure why that railing is there anymore.

You got it! The marble doorstep was rumored to be from Monticello, so guests were chipping off bits of it as souveniers. They had to replace the marble several times each year, so they put up a railing to discourage folks. Dave Smith assures us it's only a rumor, but it's a persistent one!
