Disney Triton

I know that there have been posts that the Triton Project has been mentioned in the port upgrades at Port Canaveral but I just saw on CruiseMapper website Disney Triton listed as a new ship for 2021 when you go to cruise lines and select Disney. Has anyone else seen this? Is this definitely going to be the name of the first new ship?

I seen this a few days ago as well but I am not sure if it is accurate. I assume it is just speculation at this point. I have not seen anything where they have officially announced anything so I would not take anything too seriously. However I am in no way shape or form a professional in this field so I am just speculating as well.

Disney Triton is merely a project name and has nothing to do with the fifth ship's name nor the class of new ships. Disney and DCL use project names for their major endeavors, which are different than the eventual name of the completed entity.

The only official place where that name has appeared is in plans filled by the PC port authorities to get construction permits. Under the name, it is stated that the name is preliminary.

We should expect any final announcement to be made either at D23, at a special press conference or at least in an investor meeting or call.

Thanks. I thought it was interesting to see it on Cruisemapper when I was checking the location of the Magic. We are anxiously awaiting D23 announcements. All this secrecy is making me crazy!
