In 2 days I will be going to Flordia. The first day we're there we're going to Jacksonville Beach. Then for 10 days after that we are going to be in DISNEY WORLD!:lovestruc I'll be going with my mom, my sister, my stepdad, and my moms friend Diane. Buuuuuuut.....there is a point to this thread, don't worry. Has any body been to Disney in July? I mean I've only been to Disney in June. Is it hotter, are there more crowds, longer lines? Everybody in my family has been wondering, but they never ask anybody. So...I'm asking here.

10 Days! HOLY COW YOU ARE LUCKY!

I went in July of 2004 and coming from Southern California the weather was miserable! We couldn't stop sweating... and once we got there, a massive heatwave hit! We thought we were going to melt like a couple of teenage candles. I bought an ice cream Mickey bar and it melted within seconds of paying for it. Haha!

But if you are used to humidity it won't be bad.

I remember we rode the Pop-eye ride at Islands of Adventure, got soaking wet and couldn't dry off the for rest of the day. It wasn't even refreshing, lol. Buy a little fan you can hang around your neck and drink lots of water.

It should still be a whole lot of fun. We were completely miserable and all of us got massive sunburns at the beach in the middle of the trip, but we still went out and did everything we planned!
Long lines, but you can find ways to avoid that usually.

Have fun!

I am going for 10 days too!! 10 days, 11 nights @ Coronado, but its really like 10 days bc we are leaving on the 11th day at 11:20 am :sad1: i am soo not looking forward to that.. lol

I've never been in July, but I imagine it'll be hotter and more crowded than June. You'll have fun though! Just always expect long waits for rides and shows.

I have been once before... we are going too this year, the 20th-28th. In July in Florida, the hurricane season has just begun. My mom told us yesterday that we best have a good book because a hurricane is coming through the Atlantic and that could mean bad weather while we are there. Since the hurricane season has just started, it will most likely rain EVERY day. Be prepared, bring a book, and bring ponchos!! Oh, the rain doesn't last for that long though, only like 20 minutes if I remember correctly.

ETA: It is MOST DEFINITELY HOT!!!!

July is hot, crowded, and hot. Just warning you. But, it's Disney so it will be fun I promise.
I always go at Spring Break and August (after the florida kids go back to school).
Hope you have an awesome trip!:thumbsup2

It's going to be HOT no doubt...and probably only slightly more crowded than june. Most kids are still off from school so you'll have more people.
But it will still be fun.
Just be park smart.
Get there when the park opens do the big ticket rides and get FPs...leave the park by 1ish and go for a swim in your resort pool. Come back nice and refreshed for dinner res and EMH.
Have a great trip.

Hello! Great to hear your going Disney :)

I have only ever been Disney in July and I love it. Just expect the hot weather (which I love, as I live in a cold and rainy country), big crowds and some Crazy Brazillian Tour Groups. If you see a tour group heading to an attraction, my advice would be not to go on the same attraction :P

My tip is to get to the parks before opening and hit all the major attractions in the morning and possibly circulate the parks in an anti-clockwise motion and do all the water rides in the morning or after 4pm to minimise wait times.

You'll have a great time. Disney in July is all I know and I love it.

lucky! i have never gone to disney in the summer.
i have only been during april and december.
my family avoids doing the summer time.
i cant imagine how hot it will be, but im positive
you will have a great trip. just take water, snacks and
fans. and take lots of pictures (: and last but not least enjoy yourselves!

btw : are you doing a waterpark?

eye yi yi.

i always forget to log my mom out.
(post above)

so now im on my name, and pretend that i sent that. :D

Last year we went during Late July and early August.
The heat was awful and the humidity was terrible.
The crowds made it even worse, and everyone was in a bad mood because of the heat.

I still had fun though, and you should too!
Just make sure to bring lots of water.
We brought 8 water bottles, 2 for each of us and had to stop numerous times for more water.

Have a nice trip!

I've gone in july and yes there were crowds and heat but don't get discouraged!! Just get fastpasses and use all the Extra Magic Hours as possible and I promise you'll be seeing a lot ;)

besides, 10 days is quite some time. You'll be able to go to each park like 3 times (if you do two parks in one day). Btw, park capacity is low in the mornings. :thumbsup2

Have fun!

I have heard of those Brazillian Tour Groups. I really hope that there are not there when we are.

Not all of them are bad. But I had a bad experience when this tour group went behind us in a queue for a ride at Disney World. Lets just say that receiving a groping whilst in line for "It's a Small World" was highly embarrassing, disrespectul and inappropriate, as I could understand what they were saying about me, even though I don't speak the language.

HOWEVER, not all tour groups are loud, obnoxious and overly-friendly.

I'll be at Disney the same time as you!! I'm going for 10 days tooooo! :) and I'll be leaving in 4 days! :)

Have fun.

yeah we're going to blizzard beach twice and typhoon lagoon once.

Oh...I'm sorry to hear that. It probably would have been embarrassing to well...you know. Expecially in the line to It's A Small World...

And thanks to everybody who has said have a good trip. :)
