Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum, so it's nice to meet you all. I'm 20 years old, from Canada, and I'm planning a Disney trip with my mother for next year. We're probably going to go at the end of April. My mom is my best friend, and I'm excited to be able to share this trip with her. There's lots of advice on here for activities and restaurants for couples and singles, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for things an older mother-daughter pair may like to do and see at Walt Disney World. Thanks so much!

Are you two food lovers? Like shows? It's really hard to say without knowing what you two like and dislike

We're definitely food lovers, my mom in particular is very worldly when it comes to her tastes in food. My mom also loves firework shows, so that's definitely something we'll be doing. I'd also like to do something special for her because it will be close to her 55th birthday when we go.

I have been thinking about taking a WDW trip with my mom and the first thing I would take her to would be the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. Seems like a nice place to bond and something a little special. Have a great time!

Ahh. California Grill would be perfect. But it's gling to be getting a refurb when you are going. Try getting Narcoosees. It's a restaurant on the 7 Seas Lagon that has a seafood driven menu. Try to get a reservation for about an hour before Wishes starts. You get to eat and enjoy the show. Truly a different experience.

:) The spa at Saratoga Springs is very nice (albeit expensive). If you go make sure to plan an hour or so before your appointments to enjoy the dip pools and sauna.

You can also do pick a pearl in Japan in Epcot. Maybe get matching necklaces.

The spa sounds like a lot of fun too! A nice way for us to sit back and relax. I'll have to look into it. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

I'd say fireworks + shopping = Epcot World Showcase. My mom enjoys the pearl ceremony at Mitsukoshi in Japan - she'll often watch a few people get theirs while my dad and I browse around.

For a simpler pleasure, take her for a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle in Adventureland!
