Hi. I am making up tow treat Disney bags, for our two teens 14 & 18.(girls)I found Mickey gift bags to use. I hope to give them on our first night on the way down. Now what kind of cute things can I put in them. I have found
-Glow in dark Mickey head bands(Dollar Store)
-Cute pairs of socks
-Portable I Pod speakers(14)
-Deal or No Deal hand held game(18)
I am thinking about putting in American money in the Disney envelopes they got for christmas.
:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

It's good to hear that there are others that do treat bags even for teens. I am taking 4 teens as a graduation celebration, and am putting some together too. I found some Adidas cinch sack athletic bags on sale (good for taking stuff to the waterparks and to the pool--the swim team kids use them) and I am filling them with fun things.

Since they really like the Pirates movie, I bought the $1 plastic treasure chests from Target and filled them with the gold $1 coins and also some chocolate gold coins. Then I also have:

*small hand lotion
*Disney fruit snacks
*cute socks
*Disney pens--they were just regular Bic pens with Tinkerbell on them in a Pkg of 6
*fun purse size kleenex packs (with kitties on them)
*individually wrapped handi wipes
*$1 emergency ponchos
*gum
*small bag of hard candy
*Disney band aids

That's all I can think of from memory right now...

I think they all will have fun with them. And, most of the stuff is very practical stuff that they need anyway.

Which dollar store had the Mickey Headbands? Dollar Tree?

I love this idea. How about:

1. sunglasses
2. lip balm/sunscreen
3. disposable cameras
4. photo album

I love the poncho idea!

Great Ideas! :thumbsup2

I am taking 2 teens, DS and DD :cutie: pirate:

I was going to give them quarters for the press machines.

They already have a camera and a front pack that holds a water bottle.

:tink:

The lip balm is a good idea. I carry the "Cars" chapstick in my purse (the one with Mater on it (aka Larry the Cable guy), maybe I need to add some Disney princess or Nemo chaptstick in their treat bags...

Another idea is a deck of cards (especially if you are driving or flying a long ways). You could get an inexpensive deck from the Dollar store, or I have seen some with Mickey and the Princesses on them in KMart. :thumbsup2

that sounds like fun!!!

there is usually some type of disney lollipops at the dollar store that would be fun,,,,what about glow bracelets,,,,suntan lotion,,,,,,and more gum (you cant buy gum at disney),,,

When we drive down with our DS (6), we wrap presents for him for every day the we are on the road. Each day is something different, so he never knows what to expect. I am not certain if you are driving or flying so this may not work.

Cheers!

Robert

I am purchasing things for DD13 as our trip is for her BDAY.

We will be having a surprise party (she should be surprised as it will actually be 2 weeks early) a few days before we leave. This will be when she learns that we are going to Disney.

I found a TINK book light & a TINK night light (to provide small amount of light for hotel room). Both were at Best Buy for under $3.00 each.

M&M tube decorated with stickers & filled with quarter & pennies (layered 2 quarters & 1 penny) for penny squishing.

Disney t-shirts can be found at Walmart.

I am having a friend pick up Disney Dollars while they are at Disney that I will put into a money card.

Also, buying "cheap" Disney pins (buying large lot) in order for DD to have pins for trading.

Autograph books & large pen.

Extra batteries for DD's digital camera & MP3 player.

New DVD to watch on the plane (often the movie on the plane is not worth watching).

Sunglasses

they had really cute Tinkerbell t-shirts in the junior department at Kohls - very fasionable for teens - that might be a cute addidition or bday present!! i think they were 9.99 - i was with a 14 year old at the time and she said she would wear that to school (since it didint just look like a regular t)

here are summore ideas :)

1. hand sanitizing gel (like the really nice smelling ones from bath & body works)
2. SPF lipblam
3. glow sticks/glow bracelets
4. Disney PEZ

Some one said something about lolipops Kmart had some light up tigger,Pooh, and Mickey ones. Also they had a buch of proncess and cars candies.

I'm doing the same for SDD18, this trip is for her high school graduation present (she chose). I'm also making one for DS10. They are each getting a new DVD to watch on the plane, lip balm, Purel (with the lime green holder they can attach to their bag/purse), disposable/water proof cameras (for the water parks), some munchies and Disney dollars. Then for DS a new pin or two for trading and an M&M container filled with pennies & quarters. SDD is also getting some Disney stationery (I made on my computer) with envelopes and postage so she can write to her boyfriend and mom and some hand lotion. Then I was thinking when we get closer to our trip I will get each of them a magazine to read.

After reading this post I will probably add some glow sticks too.

Last year I made them travel pillows and blankets out of Disney printed fleece I bought at Joann Fabrics.

You can get glow bracelets at Michaels - a tube full (10 or 15 in there) for $1! Great deal!!!!

A small flashlight is also nice to have for the dark nights.

I also pack lots of those hiking clips - they are terrific for hanging things off a backpack that you can easily reach.

I Disney cell phone holders at 5 Below...they were $3 I think, and had Mickey, Grumpy and/or Tink. Love attaching them to lanyards so the cell phone is handy and I can set it vibrate so I don't miss any calls!

Travel sunblock is a good idea also...sometimes I find these at Walmart with a hiking clip already attached too.

You guys have such great ideas...making my list...I love making little treats bags for the kids( well DD is 16 and DS 9 and their friends are coming with us 10 and 15)...and putting them in the window...

What about Disney Dollars or a Disney gift card so your teens can buy souvenirs that they want?

Have a ????, several years ago, I went to the disney store, I was told, you could not use gift cards in Disney.....so I went head and got the disney money. Can you use disney gift cards in wdw now?

DH has been buying Disney Trading Pins on Ebay (buying lots that average $2.00 per pin). We will give DD several pins each day for trading. I have gotten a few (mostly Tink pins) that we will be keeping.

DD thinks she is too old for Glow necklaces, but I am getting some to hand out to young children we meet in the evenings. Spread the Magic:wizard:

Target has had a lot of Disney stuff in there dollar bins. I was there today and they had a bunch of pirates and princess stuff. They had pirate lanyards, stickers, and notepads. The also had princess crayons paper and pens. They have had stickers and paper and had a lot of pooh stuff A couple weeks ago. It changes so often but they usually seem to have disney stuff in there.
