Have been looking on the boards for the answere to this question and so far nothing. Why is it that there is not an 800 number to call for reservations? I have had to make some corrections on my reservation serveral times now and each time i have to call the 407 number which is long distance. And of course each time i get that recorded message and have to go throught the steps and push buttons until i get a real person. You would think that for how busy they are that an 800 number would work better for everyone. If someone has an 800 number i sure could use it. Thanks

I know it seems like everyone else has an 800 number, but with most everyone using cell minutes these days, it's seeming less and less necessary. I think they don't have a toll-free number to cut down on frivolous calls ("What are the names of the dwarfs?" "Can I talk to Mickey?"). Businesses use toll-free numbers to draw in customers and make it convenient for you to call them and use their services. Since Disney really has no competition, they have no need to provide a toll-free number for the public. In the past a few toll-free numbers were posted here on the DIS, and within days of them getting out, they were shut down. I think the only toll-free numbers they use are for travel agents only and you have to key in a provider number to access it.
