Hello!

We received our port arrival time last night (well...early this morning) of 11:15. We've never taken the bus from a resort to the port, but I was wondering how that would work? Are you at the mercy of the bus system, or do you arrive close to your port arrival time?

Also, if 4 of us arrive by car and 1 by bus, do we all have to check in at the same time? All 5of us are staying in one stateroom.

thanks for your help!

If you book the resort bus, your PAT effectively becomes irrelevant: you are given a pickup time the night before at your resort. Recent reports indicate that bus pick ups are happening early morning--pickups starting around 8:30 and getting in around 10am, but as cruises get more popular they will probably stagger times more. Then, when you arrive, you're given a Covid test at the tents set up outside the terminal, and proceed to the terminal from there.

The car arrivers will have a totally separate process. They can arrive at the parking garage no earlier than their PAT, and will be covid-tested while sitting in their car.

This is a really confusing situation post-Covid though. I know that sometimes families in a single stateroom arrived separately met on the ship (e.g., one group arriving the night before and boarding first thing, another flying in day of and boarding later). My gut tells me that post-covid though, they might not let you board without the rest, because then what happens if one in your travel party tests positive after you've boarded? They'd have to track you down on the ship and escort you off, but by then you might have eaten maskless with the other guests in Cabanas--it just seems like a risk they wouldn't want to take.
