Disney transportation while staying offsite?

Hello everyone,

When I stay in an offsite hotel at WDW, can use Disney transportation to get around the resort (to go from one park to another, go to hotels to eat, ...) or isn't that allowed?

Another question is: where at WDW can you take taxis to offsite-hotels? Is that "safe" (I am a 26-year old/young female travelling by herself, and I (and my mom) watched too many movies about murders so I just want to know whether that's safe or not)

You most certainly can use Disney transportation to get around Disney property!

Yes you can use all of Disney transport. Ferry, monorail, and buses are all game.

You can take a taxi to any of the parks. Epcot, AK, and MGM all drop off in the parking lot and MK drops off at the TTC. I don't see any reason to fear taking a taxi. Off-Site hotels also offer shuttle service, but they can be a wait at times.

The above responders have correctly answered your questions. Disney transportation is for any ticketed guest, whether staying on or offsite. But I wanted to add that if you REALLY want to have some peace of mind about taking a cab, I'd suggest going into a resort close to whatever park you just visited and have them call you a cab. They'll know who the best cab companies are and you can wait 5 minutes for one to show up in the valet area. Then again, I've never heard of any reason why the cabs waiting outside the parks in their designated areas would be considered unsafe.

That was a great tip about going to one of the Disney resorts for a taxi. Taxis are normally waiting for fares at all WDW resorts. If one is not available the Cast Member outside will get one for you right away. Only selected taxi companies are allowed to wait on WDW property so you should not have to worry about this.
From the MK you can easily catch a taxi at the Poly, GF, or Contemporary.
If you are at Epcot World Showcase or the Disney Studios you can go over to the Epcot resort area for a taxi. From Epcot simply exit at the International Gateway, which is near the United Kingdom. Walk straight for about five minutes and the first resort on your right is the Beach Club. Walk through the lobby and out the main entrance for a taxi.
From the Studios the walk is longer but you can catch the Friendship boat. The boats travel between the Studios and the Epcot International Gateway, stopping along the way at the Yacht/Beach Clubs, Boardwalk, and Swan/Dolphin. You can catch a taxi at any of these any time day and night.
