Disney Transportation to Port?

Hi - Our cruise leaves on Friday. Because of the flight times, I feel better flying in on Thursday. Now, if I fly in on Thursday and stay at a non-Disney hotel and use Disney's transportation to get to the port, how does this work? Do I find my own way back to the airport for Disney to pick me up? Where do I go at the airport to meet the Disney bus?

Now - if I do decide to stay at the Disney hotel, does the Disney Cruise bus pick us up there or I still have to get back to the airport?

If you stay at a non Disney hotel it is your responsibility to get yourself to the airport. They buses leave right near where the Magical Express buses leave for the parks. It's easy to find. It's on the bottom floor of the B terminal.
If you stay at a Disney resort you can take the bus from the resort to the ship. The biggest problem with that is that they don't pick up until later. When we were on the Fantasy last month, we were picked up at noon from Coronado Springs and got to the ship a little after 1. The nice thing was that there was no crowd at the terminal and we could walk right on after check in.

There are a number of hotels close to the airport that provide a shuttle. You could also choose to stay at the Hyatt in the airport itself. The buses from the airport start heading out for the cruise port at 9am. If you stay at the Hyatt, they even transfer the bags for you.

At WDW you can use their buses (pick up at resort) and they take your bags from your room and deliver on the ship. You don't see them in between. Off property you can go back to the airport or find your own transportation. Depending on the size of your party (usually more than 4) it may be better to find a limo company. You can usually reserve ahead of time and pick a specific arrival time. There are many threads on this topic if you search. Many people have posted experiences of just about every hotel near the airport and how they got to port. There are many options in Orlando.

We stayed at the Hyatt at the Airport and had a great time exploring with no rushing to catch at flight or catch our ride. We are doing the same thing next cruise just flying in earlier in the day so we can use the pool at the Hyatt and start the relaxation earlier.
