Disney Transportation to and from WWS

Is there Disney transportation to and from Wide World of Sports, particularly to the parks and Downtown Disney? We'll be there for a basketball tournament June 26-July 4 and would like to use the Disney bus system if it's available.

The only Disney Transportation to Wide World of Sports is from the MGM Studios.

I think it runs something like 8am - till 8pm from MGM Studios and back.

So from your resort you would have to take a bus to MGM, then transfer to a bus to WWoS.

If you want to get to WWoS from Downtown Disney, your options are:

1) WALK to Saratoga Springs, then a bus to MGM, then a bus to WWoS
2) a boat to POFQ/Riverside, then a bus to MGM, then a bus to WWoS.
3) a bus to the Boardwalk, then WALK/Boat to MGM, then a bus to WWoS.
4) a bus to any other resort, then a bus to MGM, then a bus to WWoS.

I hope the team has independent transportation.

We just had a gymnastics comp. at WWoS. We took the bus to MGM then on to WWoS. The comp. director told us that they had made plans for us all the get back to our resorts since the busses stop running at 8pm. They never showed so we took a cab back to CSR, the fare was $9.50

Also, just an FYI, back in January, there was a basketball competition, and a soccer competition, and a cheerleading competition, and some baseball going on. I just wandered over to WWoS for a looksee because I had never been. Some poor mom (and team) was hunting for where they were supposed to play basketball. Hearing her phone conversations while on the bus, it appears they had set up some basketball courts over at Downtown Disney in the Westside Parking lot (which is rarely used). I didn't confirm this myself. She was extremely flustered when I told her what she had to do to get to Downtown Disney from WWoS.

So depending on how full WWoS is, some of your basketball may be played over at Downtown Disney in a parking lot.
