This is probably a dumb question but I'm a newby.........is the monorail, etc. included in the price of the Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus tickets? Is this the best way to get from place to place? We are staying off site and want to be able to take the hotel shuttle to WDW and go from place to place without our car.

Yes, you can take the monorail. A multiday pass includes transportation. If your hotel shuttle lets you off at MK, you could take the monorail to Epcot from the Ticket and Transportation Center. From Epcot, you can walk to Disney-MGM Studio or take a boat there.
If you take your car, you will have to pay for parking since you are staying off site. But, save your parking tag. If you switch to another park the same day, show it to the CM at the parking entrance. You only have to pay for parking once during the day.
