Disney Transportation question ...

We are thinking of going and doing the Boardwalk and maybe Fantasia Mini Golf before going to MNSSHP.

We are staying at the CBR.

Is it faster/better to take a bus to MGM and then hop one to the Boardwalk Inn or is it better to take the suggestion I saw online somewhere of taking the bus to DTD and then to the Swan/Dolphin and walk?

What about taking the Boat from MGM to the Boardwalk?

It will be faster if you take the bus to MGM, and then the boat to the Boardwalk.

The DTD transfer is very far away from Boardwalk and it takes a lot of extra time.

There are no buses to Boardwalk at MGM. So, you can take a bus to MGM from CBR. Then, you have a few options. You can take one of the Friendship boats to BW from MGM. Or you can walk, via the pathway, along the canal. It's about a 10-15 minute walk..quite pleasant unless it's hot/humid or rainy. It's very well lit at night. I've actually walked it by myself after dark. The boat will take about the same amount of time, unless there is a boat waiting for you at the dock as you walk up and it then departs as soon as you hop on.
You can just cross over the bridge between the S/D and BW in order to head to Fantasia Gardens. It's about 6-7 minutes, not bad at all.
