Disney Transport from Resort to Port Canaveral

Are you silver? Just curious since I'm a newbie on what PAT's will actually be available at 75 days out. thx.

We had an earliest PAT on our first cruise, and I forgot to do my online check-in until later. It really just depends how many CC members are on your cruise and how many of them wish to arrive early. Some won't need/want an early PAT due to travel plans that morning. I think you have a fairly decent chance of getting an early PAT on your first cruise.

Enjoy your cruise!

DH likes to be onboard as early as possible. We are staying at WDW before the cruise and have hired private transportation from resort to port. He did not want to take dcl transfer from resort because they pick up late. We compared renting a car, private transport, or taking magical express very early to MCO and getting the first DCL bus to port.
Renting a car and parking at port for the whole week was the most expensive option. A one way rental with drop off in port was very cheap, but we just didn't want the hassle of getting a shuttle to the car center, returning the car then waiting for a shuttle to the port. Plus we had to consider the actual drive in and handling all of our luggage out of the room and into shuttle to car center, out of the shuttle, into the rental car, out of the car, into the shuttle to port, then to porters. And we would've had to lug a car seat through the airport and onto the ship to use in the rental. That was all more than we wanted to handle.
ME to MCO is a lot of shuffling bags as well. And a lot of time on the road as someone mentioned above. You have to wake up very early. You may not get on the first bus out.
Private transportation was only $40 more than DCL for my family of 4 and that includes the car seat and a grocery stop for anything we may have forgotten to pack if we choose. He will have us at port for 10am and we won't have to spend so much time on the road. We only have to handle our bags from our room to the lobby, then our driver and porters handle it from there. To us, the convenience was well worth the $40.

One other consideration, and a reason to take the DCL transfer bus returning from the cruise to MCO is the onboard airline check-in. If you're taking a domestic flight on most major airlines (other than SWA) you can leave your luggage outside your stateroom the last night of your cruise and the next time you see it will be at your home airport.

For that convenience I would consider a one-way car rental or a one-way car service from WDW to the port, but take the transfer bus on the way back to the airport.

We are Gold. We've always stayed at the Hyatt and have recently become DVC members and decided to use up some points. We've always had an early PAT time and our boarding number has never been above 4....except for the first time, we were a 9.

is there a baggage limit on the Resort to port transportation? Of the four of us staying in the resort, only I am taking the bus since my FL parents will be going as well and picking up the wife and kids on their way. I'm curious about being able to take all the luggage myself to save space in my parents trunk of their car.

I'm not sure if there is a limit, but each person gets only 2 luggage tags with their name/room info on them.

I was wondering if anyone can provide information on utilizing Disney cruise Transportation from WDW resort to Port Canaveral? We usually just grab it at the airport but this October, we plan on staying at the resort pre-cruise and was wondering how easy it is to use the Transportation from the resorts. is there anything I need to do? I know at the airport we just jump on but will I need to notify Disney that we'll need to be picked up at the resort? Thanks in advance!!
We used the Disney Transport last October from Caribbean Beach to Port Canaveral. It was great. Easy and the bus pulls up right at the entrance to the Port. I would use it again.
