Last night, my 13 and 10 year old nieces spent the night at my house. Since we are leaving for our WDW vacation soon, we spent most of the night getting things out and deciding what we were going to take along including our Mickey ears from last year's trip. Everyone settled down for the night about 11pm. As I was checking my messages one last time, I realized that we were 9 days from leaving for Florida - Single Digits!

I got the girls back out of bed, handed them their Mickey ears and told them we needed to do the Single Digit dance. I then face-timed my Mom (also going to Florida with us but lives in a different city) so that she could participate. The 10 year old immediately loved it and danced away. The newly minted teen ager took a minute to warm up "This is so stooopiddd," but then got into it. They thought watching Grandma dancing in her pjs over facetime was just hysterical. It only took about 15 minutes, but I think it will be a great memory for them. It already is for me!!

I would love to hear other stories of traditions people have around a Disney trip.

This is a great memory! Beside a countdown chain, we've done game nights (we love Disney Headbandz and Cranium). Also love watching the Disney Parks channel on YouTube, watching lots of movies... and the Disney station on Pandora is always playing! Enjoy your trip!
