Disney took my park hopper plus ticket!

Last week when we were at Epcot, I handed the lady my old park hopper plus passes, and told her I wasn't sure how many days were left on them. As we ran them through, she said there weren't any; no big deal, we just started our new ones. She took both old passes and I suppose she tossed them. Last night, I realized that these were 7 day hopper plusses, and although all seven days were used, we hadn't used any of the plusses. Now what should I do? I did make copies of them before we left. Any thoughts?

Well, I would make a copy of my copy, and write a letter to Disney and explain what happened. I would be sure that whatever numbers are clear on the copy. Tell them that you never used the plus feature, and could they please check their records again because unless you are mistaken there should have been all of the plus features on each of the tickets.

I don't know what else you can do, what are your thoughts?

Do you think maybe you have to use the plusses while the tickets are still "active"? Just a thought, I have no idea, we have APs.
Can't hurt to ask though. Good luck!

the plusses are good forever, regardless of the days, or lack there of on them.

Thanks Gail. I was having a little mini heart attack for a moment there. We have 3 7day+ passes. 2 of them have 1 park day and 2 pluses left, the other is a child's with no parks but 2 pluses left. Now that my dd is 10, will she still be able to use those pluses this summer? Hope so. We're getting AP's but no pluses with them.

Yes, your child can still use them, even thoguh she's now 10.

Actually, depending on how old your tix were, this might not be the case. Up until a few years ago, I think, the plus features had to be used within a certain time span from when the park hopper was first used. I don't remember exactly but I know that it has only been in the past few years that the PLUS features also were considered good until all used up.

I believe those were super dooper passes, not pass hopper plus passes. In which case, you are correct, they did expire, but, the plusses on a park hopper plus don't expire.

To be the bearer of bad tidings.......but I seem to recall that the "Plusses" did expire and only unused "days" could be carried over forever....................

I also checked the WDW website and the only thing that it says about Hopper Plus passes is that "Unused DAYS never expire".....I would take that to mean that the "plusses" are gone......

Actually, we will be in the same position one week from today, so I will actually ask a CM what the deal is..............

I'd check with GS .....to get it straight first........

Good luck.............

My DMIL & DFIL both had unused pluses on their hoppers from May 2003. They were told they were good forever just like the park days.
Debs site say the same thing and so does the Passporter.
Could you be thinking of the Ultimate Park Hoppers? They expire midnight of your last day of vacation. ( both park days & plusses)

I have used plusses on expired hoppers and had no problems. Do not panick and call Disney.

We were there in October and used pluses on several park hoppers with no park days left. Your pluses should still be good.

You will be fine as long as you have the photocopies of the back of the tickets. Guest Relations can check that ticket number and if it shows any unused admissions of any kind, they will replace the tickets for you just as they would replace lost ones.

History lesson:

Pay attention, class. There may be a quiz on this later. ;)

Some of you were mentioning Super Duper passes. Those passes became the 5, 6, or 7 day World Passports the same way that "Bounce Back" tickets have become one day/one park tickets now.

The 5-day World Hopper Passport *could* (doesn't mean that everyone or anyone actually did, but it *could*) be used to enjoy a total of 12 days at WDW while paying for 5. To use it to enjoy 12 days, you would go to the minor parks for 7 consecutive days first and then use the *5-day* theme park portion of the ticket for 5-days.

The 7 days had to be consecutive. After the 7 days had passed, the admissions to the minor parks were gone. Any unused admissions to the major theme parks were still good and remain so to this day.

The World Passports were replaced by the All-in-One passports in May of 1997.

Thank you everyone.

Does anyone have a phone number for guest relations?

You all are awesome!

Mousefansmom;)

I'm sure things will work out since you have a copy.:) PLease let us know.

Should they have even TAKEN her expired passes? Even if all their value had been used, what if she wanted to keep them as a souvenir?

I do recall a scam where expired passes were being taken at the end of the day and being falsely sold as having some remaining value...pretty low.

Oh, God I hope there is no quiz. :)

Avoid calling long distance for something like this. Use mail or email. But do it right away, don't wait until your next trip.
It's not necessary to do this now. The ticket information will still be in the computer when she goes back to WDW. As long as she has the photocopy of the back of the tickets, she can prove that she was the original owner of the ticket. And Guest Relations can call up that ticket and check for any unused admissions of any type. Should there be any, they will reissue the ticket just as they do hundreds of times a day when people come in reporting lost, stolen, forgotten, or destroyed tickets.
