If I am not renting a car, how can I get from a Disney resort to a Universal resort??? Thanks!

Probably by taxi cab ... but I will wait for others to respond since they may be able to tell you cost. There is also a Universal section here on the DIS boards and they may have some ideas.

We are going to the Universal Parks in Oct 2007 (still staying at WDW Resort) but we will have a car. I call it going to the "Dark Side" but Universal and Islands of Adventure do sound like fun! :sunny:

Are you actually going to stay at one of the Universal Resorts?

You can book a Mears shuttle from your WDW resort (there is a freephone in the resort lobby). Just tell them where you want to go and they will give you a list of times (you can go to Universal, Seaworld and on Thursdays and Sundays, Florida Mall or Belz outlets). They pick up from the yellow lines outside the resorts.
Cost is $14 return per person, under 3s free. You can give them a return time when you call or if you dont know when you wish to return, just give them a call when youre at the park and let them know your return time.

We used the Mears 2 years ago to go to Universal and it worked wonderful and high recommend it. I called Mears a couple weeks prior to our trip to make the reservation time and they explained how it all works etc. They have such good service!!

We've always used Mears (but there are just 2 or us).
Call the day before for resort pick up and a couple of hours from the park for return trip.
We're used them for Universal and Sea World.

You can also use a town car service. We use Tiffany Town car, I think the price is in the area of 25-35$, not sure, but you can call them and they will tell you the exact cost. It's nice to have a private car and someone to handle your luggage. if you need car seats they will provide them too.

Snwflk: Actually we just got back! We stayed at Royal Pacific Resort (RPR) to sum it up.....AWESOME!!!!! Universal, IOA and the resort.
I am not going to say one is better than the other, but next vacation I am certainly going to have to visit both! AAAANNNNNNNNNNDDDDDD...if I HAD to choose what I liked better.....I would have to say.....I can't say because then people will flame me no matter what I say!

Yes Goofie4goofy...I want to stay at a Disney resort for Disney and then move to a Universal resort for Universal. So, it would be nice to have someone handling the luggage. I have used Tiffany in the past and will keep them in mind for my future......way future...next vacation. :) I wish I had more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ !!!!
