I'm guessing this question has been asked five million times. SO sorry. How do I get my family of 6 to Universal from the Polynesian? I'm assuming this must be pretty easy.
Thanks in advance

Not all that easy...a few options and I'm sure there's many more:
- Taxi. Probably expensive.
- Look at the Mears website. They run various shuttles...look at mearstransportation.com
- Rent a car. Since you're at the Poly, you can do a pickup (and dropoff) at the Car Care Center on the Magic Kingdom exit road. (This would be with Alamo or National) They'll shuttle you between the Poly and the CCC both ways.
- You could also look into the Lynx bus (I think its golynx.com)

There is a sticky thread in this forum with answers to your very question, along with prices of some of the options. You may want to check out the last few pages:

Another possibility not mentioned in the above response is a private livery driver. We have used Ed Korgan Transportation for 3 trips to Orlando. His round trip fare between Disney and Universal is $85 plus tip.

Dreams Unlimited (one of the DIS sponsors) has a package which includes transportation and park tickets to US/IoA.

Uber is another option, but I haven't used the service in Florida or elsewhere.

I keep hearing good things about this here on the boards. Do you just go online and send him an email for contact? Plus just out of curiosity what percent is acceptable to tip a driver for round trip between the two locations?

Yes, email Ed using the address on his website: ekorgan2@aol.com

I think a 10% tip of the total, each way (for a total of 20%) is a decent tip. I would split the tip for each leg of the trip just in case it is a different driver each way.

:thumbsup2

totally agree.
i tip on each of the separate legs of my transportation.
