Disney to honor pirates of the caribbean's 40th anniversary in 2007

As we all know, everything with POTC this year is centered around the movies. It has been said that next year Disney will do something at the attraction in both Fla. and Ca. that will honer the 40th Anniversary of the attraction. It will be a new character or effect that will be an attraction exclusive and not related to the movie.

i don't see this happening. Shutting down a ride a year after it was already shut down sounds a little unreasonable.

But we do have Part 3 htting the theaters in 2007, so this may be a great way to add to the Pirate-mania. I don't think the new AA is correct, but something may happen for the 40th

A point he makes is that it may not be something built for WDW. Can anyone comment as to whether or not attendance at the current WDW waterparks is big enough to warrant another one?
