Disney to close most ESPN Zone Restaurants

The one at WDW is called "ESPN Club", and I don't know if it is even operated under the same division - its sort of an "ESPN Zone"-light.

The link in the OP doesn't work, but here is another:

Orlando isn't even mentioned which further makes me believe that it is operated under a different umbrella. LA and Anaheim will remain open, but it sounds like they will be or already are franchised operations, not run by Disney.

The news here is stressing the fact that the ESPN club will stay open. That is why I mentioned it.

One of *many* sports bars I've never stepped foot in... :rotfl:

Sad!! this is my hubby's go to place in Vegas. Glad that the location's at wdw and disneyland are staying open. Hubby and ds are looking foward to our dinner there on our next trip.

I'm glad they are not closing the ESPN Club at the Boardwalk. I really do enjoy that place.

I'm glad they aren't closing the one at The Boardwalk too. This past Feb. Was my Fiancee's first trip and he's a HUGE sports fan and loved ESPN (We were also there for ESPN the weekend). He took one step into the bathrooms with the TV's and was like I LOVE this place!
