Disney to allow printing parking pass

wouldn't it be great if Disney allowed us to print parking passes once we paid in full for an on site vacation stay?

I know you can use your magic band but that requires you to stop the car at the parking booths and get scanned.

This is now the only reason I go to check in at the front desk...

Anyone have other ways to get it?

Front desk is still the only way. Have to stop at parking booths with the paper too.

It was actually strange for us because I didn't think they were doing the passes anymore...we received a paper parking pass from the guard at the Polynesian when we checked in on June 19th. I actually said hmmm? to myself because I wasn't expecting it. However when we switched and checked in at French Quarter a few days later we did not receive a paper parking pass. Didn't seem like there was any rhyme or reason for it...

We were just at Disney July 3 to July 9. We thought we needed a parking pass as well and stopped at the desk at Beach Club prior to going to a park. We were told they just scan your band now and we didn't need the paper pass anymore. It ended up that we didn't take our car anywhere anyway as our touring plans had us walking or using busses at off-times.

We have not gotten one the past 2 times we stayed at GF and BC.

When we were there in April they did not need the paper passes. What they SHOULD do is have something similar to SunPass or EasyPass. Place it on your dash and just drive through the gate. Drives me crazy that we have to stop. Yes, you will have folks try to drive through that don't have a device. That happens on the highways with the fore mentioned but traffic does move.

I think they need to do a couple of things for the wristbands. It looks like they are still using the old ones that you used your card on. It's older technology, but still works, but this is what they need to do:

1: Reconfigure the readers. When you used your card, it was easy to reach out, but when the thing is on your wrist, you have to bend your arm around like a contortionist. Move them out a bit, and a little higher.

B: Get new readers, although the RFID tech works still, these ones are faded and just need to be newer, faster tech.

We've been asked for ID several times. So now we have ID on the ready.

And when driving from home with AP we have them (AP and ID) together up front.
interesting - with a parking pass from the resort we've never been asked for ID! When we use our APs for free parking (usually first day of the trip before we've gone to the resort) we have our IDs at the ready but often they haven't asked. It would be good if they had a consistent system.

I think it's random checking. But we go so often we seem to get picked more. Especially my dh.

The hotel's with high demand parking or where people will park to avoid parking fees they are still giving the out without requests

Am I the only one wondering why the blatantly false thread title is allowed?
