I'm a first timer to Disneyworld. I understand there's a parkhopper option that allows me to go to diff parks on the same day.

But what if i do NOT get the hopper option but just the regular ticket. Can I return to the park? Lets say, I enter the park at 9 AM, realize i forgot sthing in the car, and try to enter the same park at 9:30 AM. Would that work?

Thanks in advance.

Yes.

Without a parkhopper ticket, you may enter, leave, and then reenter the same park on the same day. The parkhopper grants you the ability to enter one park, leave it, and enter another park(s) on the same day.

Yes, you can return to the same park on the same day as many times as you'd like without the parkhopper option. :thumbsup2

:welcome:

You can pop in and out of the SAME park during the day.

Go back to your room for nap and pool.
Go to another resort for a meal.
Leave the magic Kingdom to check out the different resorts on the monorail line.

Have a wonderful trip! :wizard:

A base ticket is one major (theme) park per day. You are allowed to re-enter the same park if you leave it on one day, but it can only be used at the one park.

Note that the ticket will state on it either "Not Valid For Park Hopping" or "One Theme Park Per Day". That should be a hint.

If you put the ticket in the turnstile of another park the display on the Guest side of the turnstile will be "ACCESS DENIED". The top line of the display on the Greeter side will give information about the ticket, and the second line of the display will say "CROSSOVER NOT PERMITTED". The turnstile will not unlock.

This is because Disney charges $3.00 per day over four days on an adult ticket, but charges $50 to allow hopping. It does not make economic sense for Disney to allow this.

If you actually have multiple tickets (more than one physical ticket per person) as opposed to multiple day tickets, you can use these tickets for multiple entries. But it makes absolutely no economic sense as a separate ticket costs a lot more than adding hopping to a ticket.

Good morning, another ticket question. With a 5 day ticket which allows entrance into multiple parks on the same day and also allows access to the water parks, how many days total can we actualy visit the water parks and the other parks. For example, if I go to Magic kingdom and Epcot on days 1-5, can I go to Typhoon lagoon on day 6 and 7? Thanks, Maria

Deleting my info as it is wrong. Sorry

>>> ... Lagoon on day 6 ...

Yes.

Blizzard Beach in the morning, Disney Quest in the afternoon, no other places visited: Consumes zero days and two water park fun entries with or without the hopping feature.

Magic Kingdom in the morning, Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon, back to Magic Kingdom in the evening: Consumes one day and one water park fun entry with or without the hopping feature.

A 5 day ticket with water park fun could be used on up to ten different days.

no, you would need a 6 or 7 day pass. If you pay for 5 days you get access to those things in addition to the others for 5 days, not additional days passes.

I don't think this is right. It you buy a 5-day MYW ticket plus Water Parks and More, that ticket is good for 14 days from first use, unless you pay for no expiration. You can use all your WPM entitlements before, after, or during your main park uses, as long as it is within 14 days of when you used the ticket for something.

Copied from Cheshire Figment's sticky:

All base ticket entitlements, including Park Hopper and WPF&M options, will expire 14 days after first use of any part of the ticket. It does not matter if first use is a major theme park, or, if you have the WPF&M option, first use is one of the minor parks. Note this is based on the first time the ticket is used.

Sorry, it was explained wrong to me then. Enjoy the extra days then;)

This is my first trip to Disney too and now I am really confused. We will be at Disney for 6 days. I was planning to buy the 6 day park hopper at undercover tourist through mousesavers for $271.00 each.

My 14 year old and 11 year old would love the water park though but I didn't want to spend alot more money for that. So what would I get if I bought the Water Park Fun & More (Fun Visits) (5 day) for $268.95 ? Could we do the other parks for 5 days and still go to the water park for one of our days??

Yes.

By the way, if you are visiting just one water park for one day all vacation long, it is cheaper still to get the Magic Your Way pass without the water park fun and buy a separate ticket card at the water park for just that one visit.

And if you bought the separate water park ticket and decided that you wanted to do more water parks, you can take the used water park ticket, your regular ticket, and about ten dollars and get an upgraded ticket with water park fun (with one visit consumed).

The five day MYW with WPFM allows you five entries to the main parks on separate days, plus five admissions to the minor parks (water parks, Disney Quest, Oak Trail golf). It expires fourteen days from first use unless you pay for no expiration. You may use the water park entries on days you go to the main parks or not - your choice. You could go five afternoons after doing the main parks, or you could go on different days, like your sixth day.

The ticket you mention does not have hopping privileges, though, so you lose that flexibility from the 6-day hopper you originally considered. You can add hopping and water parks, but it is 53.25 to add each option to a ticket, regardless of the number of days on your ticket.

If you only plan to go to a water park once, it is cheaper to just park for the water park admission separately. A one-day adult admission to a water park is $42.60.

You can also buy a 6-day MYW ticket without hopping for 228.95 at UT. It is a few dollars cheaper if you subscribe to the Mousesavers.com newsletter and use their link.

This is a "canned" response with the assumption you have a ten day MYW ticket with both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options. Reading it carefully will answer many of the questions in this thread.

Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privleges on one card. Everything expires 14 days after first use unless you have the no-expire (NE) option. If you have the NE option all the entitlements are good until they are used up. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M enries remain valid until used. (Note you do not have to use the days consecutively.)

You have ten days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

You have ten entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, OT, TL, WWS). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, Oak Trail in the afternoon, and Disney Quest in the evening of one day you would have used three of the ten entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)

If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.

If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.

Note that with the MYW ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

(I work as a Greeter/Tickets/Guest Services at one of the Water Parks.)

ok another question. I have a 14 year old daughter and an 11 year old son. I am going to have to choose. So what would you choose if you was me. a 6 day park hopper or a 5 day water park fun & more without the park hopper option.

It depends. When are you going and where are you staying?

My kids are younger (9 and 6), so they are happy with the pool and slide at the resort.

Since it is your first visit, I'd go with a six day ticket. Whether or not I would get a hopper would depend on park hours for your visit. If the parks are open late or you are staying onsite and can take advantage of evening EMH, I'd probably get a hopper. We don't hop much since my kids are usually done by 9:00 at night, but we are hopping on our next trip since it is a long weekend and we are just hitting our favorite rides.

You could get a six-day MYW (no hopper) with WPFM and go to a water park one afternoon. Since it is your first trip, though, I'd maximize park time and flexibility and get a 6-day hopper.
