hi guys

sorry if there is another place for this but i couldnt find it if there was.

Are there special ticket deals toward December? or should i take advantage of the 5 days for price of three etc? same question again but also about Universal. should i take the 2 day 3rd day free thing now while its on, will it run out?

I dont want to buy old tickets off ebay as i honestly dont trust things like that.

Thanks for the help guys

Not sure where you are getting your information about 5 for 3? Disney doesn't have any offer like that currently available. They don't generally run "ticket" specials by themselves, but often offer something special as part of a package that includes rooms and tickets. These are offered for a specific time period only. If you aren't going during that time then it is of no use to you. So if they did run a 5 for 3 it would be for rooms AND tickets (stay 5 nights get 3 free sort of thing)--not for tickets only. And it would only be for one period of time--like for April 12-June 10 (just making up dates). If that doesn't coincide with your travel time then you can't use it.

There are several "discount" ticket companies that seem to be reputable. They are recommended by very reputable Disney sites like this one. Look through the ticket information on this site, and also on mousesavers.com, and allearsnet.com. They should list sites that are trustworthy. NEVER buy tickets from ebay--there is no way to know if you have been scammed until you arrive at Disney, and even if the tickets are good if something happens (like the strip is demagnetised--which happens often), you can't replace them since your name doesn't match the name on the account.

Disney generally increases ticket prices each year, unfortunately they raised prices 2x this year--once on Jan 1st and again about 2 weeks ago. Will they raise it again on Jan 1st of 2007? No way to know (but I sure hope not!). If you want to buy tickets only to hold onto until you go, then I guess you should buy now. But you also could end up finding a great package offer for that time also further down the road. You might end up having to include at least a 1 day ticket if you take advantage of the package.

It is all a crap shoot. You roll the dice and take your chances!

Can't help you with Universal--don't do it. I think there is a Univerasal Specific board further down that can probably help you with that ?.

woah, u own big time! :thumbsup2

It was on a website i saw the deal, not sure which but was not 5 for 3 days as i thought, rather 5 days for price of 4 i believe. ill be sure to use the ones recommended by this site though, much safer methinks.

Thanks again. Cant believe you dont do universal though, i thought it was all part n parcel witht he Orlando experience, probably as i am from the UK when my family could go to orlando we crammed it all in.

Still, thankyou for the help you have been great

Okay, if you'll post the name of the website where you saw the "Pay for 4 days, get 5 days" ticket offer, we can probably tell you if it's an authorized (by Disney) ticket reseller. Most likely it is.
As for Universal, have you checked that website? They MAY have a "Pay for 2 (or 1) day, get 5 consecutive days free" deal for online ticket purchases ONLY. Otherwise, the same ticket resellers may have a better deal.

E-mail I got from a travel agent

Oh, I generally only get my stuff directly through Disney (usually buy a package) so I am not familiar with the ticket resellers, that is why I can't name any off the top of my head. Those sites I mentioned above have several good deals with ticket brokers that are reputable. You might want to join the mousesavers.com newsletter--they have a broker that offers even better specials to newsletter subscribers (it is a FREE e-mail letter).

Don't do Universal, I have small kids that don't like thrill rides (and a chicken mom!) and we can't justify the cost of Universal for what few things they offer for the young ones. Better off at Disney! We will probably go in a few years when the kids are teens.

Hi guys

Ok now im really not sure if this site is real or not but here we go

first deal is Pay 4 day gate price with hopping, and get 7 days
http://www.knowbeforeugo.com/Mercha...ial_7-Day-Base-Park-Hopping-14-Day-Expiration

Next is pay for less than 4 day gate price and get 6 days
http://www.knowbeforeugo.com/Mercha...KBYG&Category_Code=2_Days_Free_Disney_Special

it is the second link that i would use if any.. the first is too many days and i only need one day at each, so the 2 bonus days ill probably give to someone on our last day we are there in the 'pass it on' spirit.

can you guys please let me know the authenticity, and if they are real is it a good deal? thanks

KaLo

If you look at the new ticket pricing you do essentially get additional days for no more than an extra couple of dollars. There is very little difference in the prices from 4-6 days (like $2 per day, I think). I'm not sure of other amounts because what I was looking into recently was in the 4-6 day range.

Mousesavers sent a newsletter yesterday with a link to a reseller who has all 4-6 day basic MYW tickets priced the same. So with those tickets you are getting free days if you get the longer ones.

I know on the previous price scale there was very little difference between the price of a 7 day expiring ticket and a 10 day one. I suppose they are trying to get the most from the 1-3 day visitors and encourage longer stays....more sales in retail and dining, as well as more hotel rooms filled.

i know, 3 days is a lot, then 4 days is only like 15 bucks more, then anything over is a few more dollars, very clever disney :guilty:

Nevermind, i guess ill go for the 4 day one with two free days altho i wont use them most probably. Anywho.. thanks for finding that out for me, can u link me to this website with the guy and the prices that are the same for the longer tickets please, thanks a bunch.
