I know you can buy Disney tickets at the Disney store, but will you pay the advance purchase price or the gate price?
Thanks,
Kimba

They're advanced purchase price, but you will have to add 6.5% sales tax to them...that is the Fl tax rate.

Make sure you call them before going to the DS to purchase. I had to go to 2 DS's because the one near my house was sold out! I just assumed they would have them so we all know what assuming gets us!!! :headache:

They called ahead for me to the next nearest store and they only had four adult 4-day hoppers left in stock!!! I said PLEASE hold them I'm on my way!!! :moped:

When we bought ours last time we were given an 800 phone number to use when making reservations and priority seating arrangements. It was nice not to need to use my cell phone to call and I could call anytime and from anywhere.

I always buy from the Disney Store...you get the advanced price and you don't have to worry about having anything shipped to you.

Thanks Everyone

I hoped this was this was the case. Now I can buy them as I get the money, here and there. I was also worried about shipping. I will however call first, my nearest Disney Stores are about 1hour and 1 1/2 hours away.

Thanks for all your help!!

I don't know about your situation but saving the $3 shipping fee in exchange for a 2 or 3 hour round trip drive isn't my idea of a good deal, especially with gas at $2 a gallon and my time worth a lot more than that.

Why not order your tickets online or by phone from Disney? They will charge a $3 shipping fee for the entire order (not on each ticket). In your case, it really seems to be the most economical thing to do.

Isn't it possible to order your tickets online and pick them up when you get the World? Here in NJ we have a Disney Store in several of the major malls so the drive is not as long as yours. But if it were me and I needed some peace of mind, I'd drive.

While I agree that $3 shipping is less than a trip to the DS if you have to travel 1+ hrs, I must say that pre-trip shopping at the DS is lots of fun. Be sure to call ahead to confirm they have the tickets in stock and ask about any sales going on.

Related question--can you buy annual passes at TDS, or only at DW?

I know an hours drive one way seems pretty far to the Disney Store, However I figure if I combined it with my Christmas shopping it wouldn't be to bad. Besides I kinda like the idea of "I HAVE to go to the Disney Store to get the tickets" ;)
Besides, as sad as it is, a trip to the mall for Chik Fil a and Christmas Shopping is a great night for me and my DH
Our families (aka:babysitters) live an hour away too!

By chance, does anyone know if we can purchase FL Res. seasonal annual passes at TDS? I suppose I could call them and just ask, but I'd rather come here first. :p
