I am glad. If Georgia passed this measure it would be like throwing us back into the 1860's South. I am saddened though that this all comes about only after companies like Disney had to flex their muscle.

I am proud of what enough money can get done in America. I do not say the sarcastically at all. When corporations are needed to be the moral fiber rather than elected officials it is a sad time, but without these efforts equal rights will never be seen. Womens suffrage, racial equality, gender equality all came from politicians who were funded.

I say this little rant because I know people who had to carry legal documents in case their spouse had a medical emergency and the state didn't recognize their partnership, men and women in the armed services who still are 'in the closet' out of fear. I am by no means a gay activist, nor am I gay, I am Javert. The highest court of our nation has made a ruling and for a single state to try to bypass that burns me.

There is an entire forum about gay and lesbian at Disney. Perhaps this should be moved there, however I think it has merits simply based on the position Disney put themselves in and, as stated above, Pete has spoken on this matter.

Just a reminder to tread lightly but certainly interesting how Disney is the main brand they're targeting.
