Disney themed graduation party, need ideas please

DD17 just decided on a Disney theme graduation party in June. Any ideas or suggestions? It will be costumes optional, but I am sure only kids will dress up. Hoping to have party outside and will be about 40-50 invited guests, plus all of her high school friends who will randomly drop by. Thanks! It should be a great time and will get us in the spirit for our trip the next week

I think I would keep the theme a bit low key for a graduation party. Maybe use the hidden mickey theme. I have never seen costumes at a graduation party but hey, if they want to do that route it's great. Maybe go with the red and black theme and the mickey head cutout for a lot of the food. You can start looking for sales on things now as you already have your theme!

I agree, I have never seen a costume graduation party. I have been using pintrest for my DDs graduation ideas. I would suggest you try there. I have never seen a themed graduation party, but different areas have different customs, so that maybe common in your area. Everyone around here just does open houses.

How may tables? each table have a movie theme? Villains VS Princesses VS Fairies VS Super Heros VS Star Wars VS Marvel?

We're not dressing up, but my daughter LOVES Alice in Wonderland. Here is the site I'm getting most of the decorations from. We're ordering cupcakes with EAT ME signs. Doing blue table cloths, lots of tea cups and saucers as decorations as well.

DD wants Red/Balck for her school colors. So we are going to do her grad announcements like that.

You could do invites to the party based on a character's color, ie Mickey

Decorate around around a movie/parks

Food inspired by a movie/parks

Give/trade pins

Disney triva games: look up the movies made by Disney/Pixar and have the kids see which ones they have seen, innovations/parks/things we have because of Disney
