anybody done these? I got a list from guest services and they have some wonderful baskets to offer and I was thinking about doing it for my kids the 1st day we get there. but wondering if anybody has done it and what did they think about the baskets? my DD's b-day (14) will be on 16 april but we will be there the week before, is it appropriate to get her a b-day basket or something else I think she will like better?:confused3 I was thinking about getting her the b-day nametag (even if I don't get the b-day basket), but they'er are so many choices that I can't decide!!!! Since this will be my son's 1st trip (6) I want it to be very special (my DD has already been to WDW at the age of 7 and loved it)...just looking for some ideas...and if anybody has a picture of one, that would be AWESOME if you could share (I'm a scrapbooker so I know I will certainly have some pics when I get there!)

My pictures are not very clear I will look for them later, but i swear the baskets were more beautiful then I expected! i really think you will like them!

forgot to add I got 2 baskets the Mickey Mouse theamed one for the 7 year old and the California adventure themed one for the 10 year old

Do they have any adult themed baskets and are these only through one of the hotels or is it through the parks?

jemilah can you post your pics or send them to me (I can PM you my email) - THANKS!

I was thinking of doing my own baskets for each member of our party (dh, my mom and three kids).

I'm going to put in Disney pajamas, a Disney t-shirt, glow necklaces, hand-held fan/water sprayer thingy, a stuffed animal, etc.

Ok, so I probably won't be able to wrestle my dh into the jammies but I'd love to see it.

thanks for all the input and I went to the other thread and saw the pics (thos ebaskets were ADORABLE) so I think I am pretty much sold!!! I got a list of the baskets from vacation planning and now just have to decide which one I want to get...I didn't see anything for a 14 month old, so I may just amke her one and take it with me and order one for each of my other 2 kids (DS 6 and DD 13)...I can't wait and I am getting SOOO excited...:cool1:

I'm not sure how current that list is with all the 50th anniversary/golden packages :goodvibes

that's the list they sent me from vacation planning and said it was up to date...so I guess if someone wants to order, they could just double check and make sure they have what you're looking for...I wasn't going for the 50th stuff anyway, so I may have just not even noticed it!

Sorry have not found the cd with the pictures..........still looking!

I'd like to offer you a different solution. I used to get the gift baskets all the time for my kids--they are very cute and attractively wrapped. But what I have started to do is make my own baskets with stuff that I buy throughout the year on clearance at the Disney Store. I also play the game that Tinkerbell has visited while we were at the park, at the pool, etc. For example, the first night at the DLH in November, DH took the kids to the pool for a swim. I put out Disney jammies and slippers for everyone and then went down to pool. When we returned to the room---Pixie Magic! I have arranged with housekeeping to put out stuff animals when they turn down the beds! I also do gifts that may not Disney--for the night we were heading to the fireworks, I had lots of glow-in-the-dark items for the kids! They loved being able to wear the stuff at night (and wondered how Tinkerbelle knew that they were going to see the fireworks that night!).

Just an option--I think VP does a nice job with the baskets but I also like being able to customize the pixie treats as well as spread out the surprises the entire visit. It does get a bit pricey so I was only getting one basket a person per trip and not spurlging on milk and cookies or chocolate covered strawberries delivered to the room.

I always get milk and cookies delivered to our room at DLH or GCH. The cookies are the shortbread ones with the chocolate Mickey Mouse overlay. You can arrange for their delivery through VP--I like to get the cookies on our last night at the hotel. And, if you don't want to spend the money on the milk, buy some at the grocery store and store in the frig. Saves some money! The cookies are HUGE--for the four of us, I usually only get two and we share. Just fun to sit in the hotel room eating Mickey cookies and watching the fireworks!

My all-time favorite though is the chocolate-covered strawberries! Absolutely delicious--they are huge and dressed up in tuxedos! I used to get them just for DH and myself but I made the mistake of letting my girls try them one time! Now, I order four strawberries. It has become our little tradition at the hotel (and, I always bring a bottle of wine to have with the berries). I have a great picture of the strawberries but not sure how to post it!

I LOVE that idea of leaving little things for them each night so I think I will definetely do that and thanks for the heads up on the chocolate strawberries(my ALL Time favorite  ) so I think I will get the kids a basket to be there when we get there (well after we check in) and then a little something each day (I thought of getting them each a cute beach towel and flip flops for the pool...and some other things) I love the PJ's idea (which I was already planning on getting) and the firewroks thing (glow in the dark stuff)...I am going to visit the character warehouse in Portland Oregon before it closes (going down super bowl weekend) Feb 11th (I think) and hope to find some cute deals there!!! any other ideas would be GREAT so please feel free to add some more...or PM me...but I think some other people may like your ideas too...

I am doing the same thing as disneyochem for our first trip next week. Picked up a Mickey fleece robe for $6 at Ross. I will put it out just before we head to the park and when we get back.......Mickey must have been here! Our dollar store has Mickey and Minnie color books so that is for another night. Mickey bath boat and character for the next night. Mater night light.....you get the idea. I have something for all four nights.
The first night we are there I also had the cookies and milk sent up. It was $25, a little steep but I only plan on doing it the first night there......he will think Mickey stopped by and dropped them off.
