Disney Tattoos

wow, what a beautiful story about John. I'm so sorry to hear this but what a wonderful way to commemorate him.

Thanks, Grumpy is mine. The longer I have him, the more I love it and the more I want another!

I love your Dumbo one. I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your son but I think you found a perfect way to remember him

Thank you. I think I really want that Grumpy tattoo along with the Dopey (with fingers in ears and tongue out) on my other leg. It reminds me of the playful nature of myself and hubby :)

How much did that cost?
my dumbo was $140 ($60 tip)= $200
my mickey was $160 ($40 tip)=$200

I tip high because I want them to do a great job the next time I come back LOL

I'm glad you found your way over here! I was coming back to send you the link but it looks like you found your way just fine. So sorry to hear about your son, but you found a beautiful image for his memory.

A side comment, most tattoo artists won't tattoo you if you've been drinking, one for the obvious reason (Snoopy) and two because alcohol is a blood thinner and the ink wont stick very well, leaving 'holes' in the images. Just take extra strenth ibuprofin before hand. It'll help with the pain and swelling. Or pick a different place! :goodvibes

Yup I found my way and thank you.

I don't drink so I don't have to worry about getting a tattoo LOL

Alright, I think I've narrowed down my Beauty and the Beast tattoo down to two choices. I wanted to get some opinions.

My other choice is this. Its all pixelated but hopefully you can get the idea. I can't find another picture of it anywhere.

I like the one with the mirror but it's so BIG lol I'm not the type to do huge tattoos (yet ;)

I do like the second choice. Perfect on your back just above your shoulder blade.

That Dumbo one is precious! I also like the Sorcerer Mickey one in honor of your son. I have my son's footprints tattooed on the inside of my left ankle.

I'm itching for another tattoo, but I have no idea what I want. Guess I will have to wait!
:dance3:

Thank you. Both tattoos are in honor of my sons. I have the Mickey one where everyone can see (because everyone knows Zach) and the Dumbo is my private tattoo. I didn't want thousands of people from Zachs school asking me who John was LOL.

I never thought about getting their footprints that's a beautiful idea.

I just found this thread. I am in the middle of convincing myself to get a small mickey mouse tattoo on my upper right arm. When I say convince myself that is exactly what I am doing- I am a wimp and am scared that it will hurt. My nephew owns a tattoo shop and I can get one for free.

ok I'm not going to lie to you tattoos can hurt. It depends where you get it. I am a HUGE MEGA BIG WIMP. I was never stung by a bee till I was 30 because I thought it would hurt like hell. I was on a field trip with my sons class and got stung 3 times in the same spot while I was protecting my son. I figured everyone said getting a tattoo was like a bee sting so I decided I can handle it :rotfl:
The one I got on my back wasn't bad at all. I don't know if it didn't hurt because it didn't hurt or because I had my mom, my 7 year old son and my young nephew with me and I was being BRAVE :rotfl2:l . The one on my leg I went alone and it wasn't bad at all. I have to admit the only place where I got a little teary eyed was where Mickeys feet are. I am a heavy chick and to have me laying sidewards with 1 leg bent up (out of the way) and the other leg straight out in the same position for an hour was not a treat either LOL

I say pop a couple advil and you will be fine...oh and if it's free it's even better LOL

if you are scared ask your nephew to run the needle (without ink) around the area you are getting your tattoo to see if you can handle it. Good Luck and i want to see pictures

Thank you. Everyday I see the tattoo I am reminded how blessed I was to have him in my life even for a short period of time.

Thanks again

LOL, that Dopey is one of the other tattoos that I want along with another Grumpy on my back

My Grumpy cost $80 and was worth every penny

Has anyone on here got their tattoo from somewhere in Orlando? I'm actually thinking of getting one on our last day there. It's a free day for us so I thought that I would maybe get one. I'm very picky as to who does it. Their work must be outstanding along with being very clean.

Hart and Huntington is at the Universal City Walk.

Just know that in many shops, especially larger and more respected shops (like H & H) you usually just can't walk in and get a tattoo done. No matter what it looks like customers do on television. Most of the time you make an appointment for a few days later and you want the artist to take his / her time in drawing up your image.

I know this is an older post but I just found this thread and am going through the whole thing. I love it!

I am going to get my second Disney tat tomorrow. I am going with Mickey at the Wheel in Steamboat Willie.

I posted on this reply because I think it is really neat having Disney Characters see themselves as human art. Tigger loves seeing mine. This is not a great picture of the tat but you get the picture, I think. Tigger is bouncing through Rabbit's garden, creating a ruckus as he is known to do.

I like it! I was thinking about getting Tigger & Roo, but I think Thumper might be next on the list....

Here is my Tinkerbell on my right forearm. I still want to get a Tigger tattoo though, just am not sure where, I am running out of space :rotfl2:

I dont ever want to get a tattoo. I don't do pain and I know in a couple of years, I'll regret getting it. The only tattoos I get are the temporary ones. I think they look just as good, and you can wash them off if you get tired of them. That is my kind of tattoo. LOL

I agree that they are not for everyone! My BF likes the way they look on others (for the most part) but he just has no interest in getting his own. And it's better to not get one and be happy then get one because you *think* you want it, and regret it.

Thanks so much....I'll do a little research on them. As for me walking in and getting a tattoo...I totally understand that it can't be done on the spot. We are in Florida for almost 3 weeks so I will have time prior to wanting it done on our last day.

I am looking for a vine with a hidden mickey going around my ankle. Does anyone have a picture of something like this. Love all the tats! I have 3 none of them Mickeys but I am on the pursuit of getting one!;)

very cute! Did the outline hurt?? That was the worst part for me and your outline is thicker than mine

Sorry it took me so long to respond to you I was on a business trip. Anyways it didn't really hurt at all since the whole thing was done with a shading needle so it would look more like a painting :)
