Ok...I've been wanting to add a tattoo on my back for a few yrs now (already have a dolphin on my ankle from 10 yrs ago). I was just going to get Tink...but couldn't decide for sure. Disney is definilty a love of mine that won't fade...so I'm debating on getting several 'small' characters across the bottom of back..
The graphic of Lilo kissing Stitch, Tink sitting down (or the sexy pose...not sure)..of course Mickey with his arms thrown back. I also love Nemo(all the cast)
Any ideas? Pros....cons? Other characters?

I want a tattoo of just Mickey's head. (like the antenna topper)

I think I would stick with the classic characters and stay away from the movie characters that will likely fade from popularity over time. In another 20 years, Mickey and Tink will still be very recognizable. I am not sure I can say the same for Lilo and Stitch.

I would also like to have a Tink tattoo to add to my purple lizard on my ankle. The only thing that I am afraid of is that if I have a Disney character done, I want the artist to have done a LOT of Disney characters...And I want to see the work...If a Disney character isn't done EXACTLY in the style of Disney, it's going to look really bad...

I had asked before, but didn't get a response...Does anyone know of a really good Disney tattoo artist near WDW? That would be a nice souvenir to take home.....

This summer I had a hidden Mickey put on my ankle. It is black and the head is the size of a nickle. I love it.

a small tatoo on women is sexy

This is a pic of the Tinkerbell I have on my left shoulder. I don't have a pic of the actual tattoo.

I've been thinking of this myself and have thought I'd probably go with Tink or a Mickey head.

Let me preface this by saying that I absolutely HATE tatoos, on anyone. If you have to ask what tatoo you should get, you shouldn't get one. It reminds me of a Jimmy Buffet song; "A Permanent Reminder of a Temporary Feeling".

My DW and I are getting the mickey antenna topper done in the Canadian flag.

For the most part, I agree...but to each his own. That being said, I agree with the other posters who mentioned getting a classic character and making sure the artist has done plenty of Disney tattoos! I like the hidden Mickey idea the most since it's classic and it's probably hard to screw up the design! Let us know what you decide!

I have about a 2 inch tall Mickey on my right hip. I got it for my 35th birthday last year. I LOVE it. I waited until I was 35 so that I was absolutely positive that's what I would be happy with the rest of my life. It was not done on a whim. I thought about it a long time. And, I put it in a place where no one can see it unless I show it to them.

My honey has several tattoos. As of this weekend, she has two that are from Disney. We had not planned on it, but the price was right. lol Gabby's newest tattoo is of Stitch doing a handstand. Click Here to see what the image looks like. The tattoo artist did a great job. The older tat is on one of her ankles, she has a Thumper rolling on his back laughing. She and her sister have that one matching. Maggie

MickeySaver...I LOVE the Bert Show!! I saw all their pics last yr at WDW...just wonderful!!
Anyways....I did see a MickeyHead that I loved, but I just can't pick one..that's why I was thinking several. As for it being a 'whim'...I've been called "Tinkerbell Tracy" since I was little by my mom...and I've wanted that tattoo for years!!
And...as for Lilo&Stitch...they aren't 'classic' ...YET! That movie is just soo wonderful to me. Stitch was many a decoration for me last Xmas too ;)
Thank's for the thoughts n advice! I'll either do this in Oct for my 30th...or in Feb on my next trip to Disney!!! And...of course I will check out alllll the artists Disney Work!!!

I have six and I love each and every one of them! Only two are Disney.........I have Tinkerbell sprinkling Pixie Dust around my belly button and then on my left arm I have Mickey and Minnie.

I would also love he Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene somewhere but haven't found anyone yet that can do that detail......of course I live in nowhere USA!

My sister is a tattoo artist and she has done TONS of Tinks and lots of Classic Pooh Characters, and of COURSE the Main Mouse. Although I'm generally not a fan of tattoos, I have considered getting a small Tink as a way to celebrate losing a certain amount of weight. I'm SO far from it now though, I'll be 100 before I reach my goal weight. At any rate, while I was seriously thinking about it, I had a dream that she tattoo Cinderella's Castle on my back with all the characters in front of it and Tink in the sky. Man, THAT would be a piece of work!!! But, since I would NEVER do that, she's painting that mural on my wall in the playroom. It's going to be SO COOL!!

Good luck with your decision!

I have another tattoo question. Has anyone gained or lost weight since they got one? Does it really alter the appearance of the tattoo?

I guess i would agree with this one as well... but to each their own.

I decided to have a Hidden Mickey in my rose tattoo on my shoulder blade. Kind of cute, but shows my love for Disney in addition to what the rose stands for.

Mary Ann, I have lost about 20-25 pounds since I have gotten my tattoo... granted it is on my shoulder blade, but I notice no difference. I want one on my lower abdomen (I think) but I am also worried about weight gain/loss.

Just wanted to throw in some food for thought...my sister has a small tattoo of a rose on her back that she got when she was a teenager. It was red outlined in black with green leaves...just a single rose. Well it is now about 25 years later and the tattoo has no color left to it and it is kind of a smeared black outline of a rose...not very attractive. So just remember that the tattoo that sounds like such a good idea right now might need to be redone or something down the road. (and believe me...27 years goes by real fast!!!)
