do they sell "disney dollars", or does the park even accept or do that anymore? I was thinking of buying some for my kids as part of their bday gifts

Disney Dollars are still sold but only at stores in the USA, and from what I've recently heard only at stores that will not be closing. They are still accepted at the parks.

You can call WDW and purchase some through the mail.

Sadly, you cannot buy Disney $$$ at the Canadian stores. You can buy them from Disney Shopping or go to a U.S. store.

i headed to Buffalo for shopping and stopped to get my Disney Dollars, however, i hear the stores at Walden and Boulevard Mall are closing. Anyone know if any Buffalo stores will remain?
