Does anyone know when the Disney Store in Braintree, MA (South Shore Plaza) is supposed to reopen? I tried calling their number but it is out of service.

Also, is the DS in the Burlington Mall still open? I've tried calling there too but there is no answer and no automated messages pick up.

Thanks!

the one in burlington was open a few weeks ago. its not the old store on the second floor, this one is across from the rainforest. It just doesn't look/feel/seem the same as the one that was on the second floor. I don't usually even bother going in.

I liked the one on the first floor near Sears where it originally was. The last time I was there it was on the 2nd floor. I had no idea they relocated across from Rain Forest. Thank you!

This might be kinda far for you but the one in Marlboro is still open.

This is the second move for the Disney Store at Burlington Mall, but there is a third change coming. The second move moved it from its temporarily location across from the food court on the second level, to the first level across from Rainforest Cafe, right next to (actually connected to) The Children's Place, which is the company that owns the Disney Stores. However, there is other space in Burlington Mall that is being renovated for use by the Children's Place, so I suspect that when The Children's Place moves to its new location, the Disney Store will expand to take over the space currently occupied by The Children's Place.

yep, its right on the first floor, near the verizon store.

hmmm...was it originally on the first floor, back when it was the old disney stores? I do remember when it took over on the 2nd across from the food court. very disappointing in how it changed. the merch just doesn't seem the same.

There's also one at the Silver City Mall in Taunton. I was there a couple of weeks ago picking up some Disney Dollars for a friend. It's on the second floor by JC Penney.

Not that it means anything...but on friday I was in The Container Store in Natick which is in the old spot where The Disney Store used to be. Sigh..it was such a nice big store and I always feel a twinge of sadness when I am in TCS....

Yes. It was in a prime (read: very very expensive) location, near the entrance to Sears.

Yeah, the whole "boutique logowear" market just totally dried up. There just aren't enough people interesting in paying a premium for that stuff anymore.

I agree. We just moved back to the area after a 4 year absence and the first time I drove past the store in natick I actually gasped. (of course, then I went into the container store, my very first time in one, and I gasped again. so many cool containers! lol).

Its funny, even pre-kids we used to always go into TDS when we went to the mall. Just loved it...it just had that feeling. Now it feels like walking into a cramped, crowded, children's place.

The one in the Square One Mall in Saugus on Rte 1 is still there. It has changed a bit, but I am always able to find things I want to buy! Just last week they were having a 50% off sale of selected merchandise. I managed to spend my money without too much trouble! :woohoo:

You are right and all the mdse has gone down if you ask me. I remember a time when you could get some half way decent things in the line of clothing and toys. Now it is just junk. It is the same when you go to Downtown Disney. They built this beautiful new store and it is filled with over priced junk! I walk around in there and remeber how I used to go in and look at all the things I would love to buy if I had the money. Now I have the money and all they have is garbage.

now that just makes me sad. I hadn't realized downtown disney was like that now, too. well, makes it easier for our trip in october. we won't likely get to dtd and now I don't feel so sad about it.
