Disney Store sale

I just visited my local Disney Store last night and they had the trading pins by one get one free and no limit on how many you can buy. I didnt know if anyone had posted this yet but thought it might help. My kids each picked some out and also got the lanyard for $15.00 (dont know what it costs at WDW).

I went today. It looks *like the pin sale was only for the weekend. ;(

I did manage to get a Penny doll and two sets out outfits. All they had left were the african american ones and one latin one not in the box. Since my daughter is half latin I took that one. These are great for her 3rd birthday coming up.

The Disney Store here was giving away free tickets for The Country Bears movie with the purchase of a backpack this weekend.

Well the bright side is the lanyard pin sets are normally $15 in the stores. It's still a good deal. They are $25 in the parks. I think the park pins are a little better quality. But for traders anyway...
Plus everyone in the parks are tired of seeing the Mickey/Minnie trading pins.
The DS ones are more unique in the parks.
The pin sale was by word of mouth. I don't think no one even knew when it was ending.
Someone posted on a different board it was all through this week. But I never heard anything official. (And bought a load Saturday. )
Most collectors knew about the sale before the store CM's.

The CM at my PA store told me the sale ends at the end of August. Seems too good to be true though...

I went to my DS today & loaded up...the mgr said it would prob be going on at least another couple weeks. (but who knows)

One of my daughters has Penny and Mindy. Were the outfits on sale? I have never seen them on sale. I was told my a store CM that they will soon come out with more dolls but that they will not come in multiple styles (ie african american,latin) but that each doll with a name will be one style only. To make them more like American Girl dolls apparently. My daughter loves them, but I wish I had bought them for 1/2 off. lol

Went to DS yesterday. Was just there last week and had picked up a Mindy for my niece at 19.99. (Got one for my DD at 14.99 a few months ago). I had asked if the outfits ever go on sale, she told me she had never seen it happen. Well needless to say, I got just about one of each!!! Most were 5.00, how can you go wrong!! Ive been told they fit the American Girl Dolls. Some will be for Christmas gifts and the rest ill just pack away for my DD.

Also, the pins were still on sae at my DS too.

Called our local DS and they've got Penny on sale for $14.99 and all the outfits are 50%. I'm gonna go tomorrow and get my dd the doll and some outfits for xmas. Maybe I'll have to pick up some pins too for stocking stuffers. Now, if I can just get her to put down her trucks long enough to play with it. I've got a 3 yr old tomboy on my hands.

I went yesterday and loaded up on pins to trade when we go in Sept.. They had all pins buy 1/get 1 free. I asked the CM at the counter and she said the sale just started (at least on the pins) and will probably be going on for several weeks at the least.

On Tuesday I bought the African-American Penny, and three outfits...to divide up between my DD b-day that is on Monday and xmas presents for her. I keep wondering if I should go back and get more outfits.
