Disney Store return policy. Wow!

Ummm, isn't that the policy at most stores? It is at most every store I know of. And a lot of stores are not even that lenient.

Any time I've returned items with a receipt to any store, I've been refunded exactly what I paid, according to my receipt. If it has gone on sale since then, usually that's not my problem.

While a normal dispute may not be valid, your credit card may have return protection and you may be able to file a claim..check with your cc company..if you already did the return you may be out of luck though.

Checking never hurts though.

So the fact that they have defective merchandise is fine.

I don't know why anyone would try to defend A company failing to make you whole when they were wrong.

Of course "it is Disney! Pay more, receive less and be glad we took your cash"

No, but if you buy something it is on you to know the return policy and follow it without expecting extra special exemptions.

As someone who works retail I can tell you the registers are set up to only allow certain things, and that is true of the return registers as well as the checkout registers. We can only do what the registers allow us to do, and the registers are controlled by the home office. If someone tries to make a return outside of the rules the registers won't allow us to do anything.
