Disney Store Exchange

I purchased several "Disney Parks Merchandise" t-shirts through Disneystore.com
I purchased large, but will need medium instead. The website says I can return/exchange anything purchased from their site, but it takes up to two weeks to process and additional time to receive the shirts I am exchanging for. The shirts are no longer on sale, so I would owe extra if I exchanged the shirts and I would not have them back in time for our trip. I have a Disney store a few minutes away, but they are Disney Parks shirts, which I can't buy at the Disney store.

Do you know if I can take the shirts with me to Walt Disney World and trade them for a smaller size once I get there? The items were shipped November 8th and we will be at Disney December 16th. so I will be outside of the 30 days. Their website does say 30 day return time, but I am hoping with the tags still on and just exchanging for a smaller size of the same shirt, that will be okay.

My guess is probably not. I bought a "park merchandise" item from Disneystore.com and it was messed up. It was a Disney Dooney & Bourke bag that they sell in the parks and at DTD. It had some damage on the front of the bag and I wanted to do an exact/even exchange for the same merchandise. I tried at the store in the GF and at DTD and they both said they were very sorry but they couldn't do it. I was really ticked off. I called Disneystore's customer service and they overnighted a new Dooney & Bourke purse to my Resort. It was at the front desk the next day. I have a feeling they didn't really "overnight" it from Disneystore's warehouse but rather just pulled it from their WDW stock. I didn't understand why it was a big deal to exchange there it but they told me at both the Grand Floridian and DTD that they couldn't do it. They insisted I had to do it through Disneystore.com since that's where I bought it.

I am just seeing that I received a reply on this. I didn't get the email notifications. I took the items to the Disney Store and they did return them for me. They also re-ordered the sizes I needed of the Disney Parks shirts that the Disney Store does not carry. The items were shipped to my home free of charge within a couple of days. They said I can order anything while I am in the store and it will ship to my home for free. The website said they do not take Disney Parks merchandise back, but they did. I received a refund for a shirt they did not have the size I needed.
