Disney Store/Disney Visa 20% off Vent

I know it's probably a small amount, but I am very unhappy that they are not letting Disney Visa cardholders use the extra 10% off a $50 purchase! They are saying you can't combine the 20% and the 10% this year. Last year, they actually gave Disney Visa cardholders an extra 15% off over $50 AND the 20% discount. I just wanted to vent a bit, thanks!

Another vent to add.... the fact that you can NEVER use discounts on movies or cds. It has always been policy even when I was a CM years ago. It is crazy considering that Disney store is already so much higher on those items anyways. Even if they gave 20% they are still more expensive than the same DVD at Walmart.

And it says that promotions are stackable!! I'm actually on hold now trying to find out how to pay with several gift cards. I can't figure it out. Anyone know??

You can't pay online with multiple gift cards. After placing your order, you call and speak with a customer service CM and have that person apply your gift cards. Nothing is charged to any card until the order is ready to ship so you do have time to place the order and then call. The only caviate is that if this year is anything like last year on black friday, good luck actually getting somebody on the phone.

I was at the DS last night and was able to use the 20% off entire purchase and the 10% DVC discount coupon I was emailed...no questions asked!

Your lucky! I went back in when I realized they didn't do it. The girl asked the manager and she said no. So today I called the disneystore.com number and asked them. The rep came back and told me no you can't stack them.

Thanks!! I did call and placed my order. It actually wasn't too long of a wait either. But now I see my pending charge on my credit card and it looks like they didn't apply the free shipping. Guess I'll have to call back. I'm going to wait until I get an email receipt though.

I vented about this within one of the black Friday threads. Since my one "must have" item was sold out online before the sales even started, I reconsidered the other extra items in my cart. Once I figured out that I couldn't stack the visa or the DVC codes, I ended up ordering nothing. I know an extra 10 percent isn't that big of a difference price-wise, but it made me rethink how much I wanted those other items. Nothing left was a big enough deal to warrant a black Friday purchase, especially since I wouldn't hit the free shipping amount anymore.

I think the Disney Visa discount should always be stackable - its one of the advertised card perks. The DVC discount made me upset since it had been emailed just a few days before the black Friday sale, so I thought it would work.

I totally agree!! If you meet the $5O minimum you should get the 10% discount no matter what other discount you are getting. It supposed to be a perk of the card. Now they're only going to give it to you "if they feel like it". That's kinda how it feels to me when they start playing these exclusion games.

Yup, I'm the same clanmcculloch from TGM. My account over there expired though and I won't be renewing until Mike actually does some updates to earn his registration fee. In the mean time, I'm around here as well as easywdw. It's easier to catch me over there though since there are fewer boards and less activity so a post is easier to see.
