I popped in the store yesterday with my sister so she could pick up her copy of Beauty and the Beast. I had no intention of buying anything...til I saw the sale!!:) They have 50% off pins, 50% off kids t-shirts, 50% off princess cups and other little tidbits. My DH wants to pin trade when we go in Dec, but doesn't want to trade the pins I got him for his birthday and other occasions..... I picked him up several of the 50% off pins (plus my DC discount!). All of the Halloween costumes are $10 off as well. They had beanies 3/$15.00. Also the stuffed Halloween merchandise was 50% off. It wasn't on sale, but I did find a Santa Mickey topper and couldn't pass it up! It'll be great for our Christmas trip!!:bounce:

Thanks Colleen! I'm off to the TDS today after getting your "heads up". My son wants to pin trade to, so this is just an extra bonus.

Thanks again
Michelle

Just a reminder about the things that we have learned about TDS sales - they come and go without warning.
Just don't want people getting TOO excited UNTIL they get the sales.
In the meantime, Happy Shopping! :)

Called my local DS in NY, they don't have the sale mentioned above, unless the CM didn't know about it. I do have another store by me, though, so if someone could post if they found the sale that would be great! Don't want to make the trip unless the sale is on. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up
It's raining here in PA all day today so I might check out the mall
sale at disney would be great

Because I saw this thread, I called my mom, who has a Disney Club card, and said, "Let's go shopping!" The Disney store in the Clear Lake area of Houston still had some great buys -- girl's nightgowns 50% off, pins 50% off, Halloween costume accessories $6.50 (the sign said 3 for $19.50, but you didn't have to buy 3), beanie babies 3 for $15 (no sign above the beanie babies but was told they were on sale when I asked, thanks to this thread!). My mom got lots of things for Xmas for her two granddaughters, including Lilo & Stitch DVD (preorder $19.99 plus $10 gift card, plus lithographs), and 10% off with the Disney Club card! What fun!:sunny:

I also stopped in last night to pick up B&B and got the princess lanyard for 7.50 and a few pins for 2.00 each. One christmas gift down:D

My store had the same as everyone else but also had a lot of kids t-shirts 1/2 off and 1/2 off selected plush(ice-cream, springtime and the "baby" pooh, eeyore, tigger). I got a huge Ice Cream Eeyore (reg 48.50) for 23.99, 3 pins @ 2.50 each, and pre-ordered Lilo & Stitch DVD (+ 4 free lithos and $10 gift card). I was very lucky with the prices my subtotal was 51.48..barely made it! :teeth: Also got the holiday savings book.

We visited one of the Disney Stores by us yesterday too!
We picked up a lot of great buys along with pre-ordering Lilo & Stitch.
I was the happiest at getting the talking Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast on sale for only $15!!! WooHoo!!!! Plus the additional Disney Club discount helped!!

I went to the Disney Store here today & I picked up 4 pins at 50% off to give my kids for Christmas. I got the pink princess lanyard w/ 4 pins for 50% off to give my niece for Christmas & I got a Buzz puzzle key chain ofr my 6 yo DS.
I LOVE a bargain!!!
I also got my DVC discount off of the total!!!!

I thought the pin lanyards at 50% off were a great deal (cute lanyard with 4 pins for $7.50)!

I'm on the lookout for things to put in gift bags for all the kids on our Christmas trip to Disneyland (my 3 kids and 2 nieces) and I bought 2 princess lanyards and 2 pooh lanyards for the girls and a Mickey lanyard for my son. I also got the Minnie Mouse birthstone beanies for $5 each (Minnie Beanie has a birthstone mouse icon necklace and each Minnie is dressed different depending upon the month.) Very cute.

The sale was great for getting an early start on Christmas;)

I went to TDS in Lynnwood, WA on Friday night and all they seemed to have at 50% off was a few backpacks and keychains and no sale sign on their pin rack  .

I was real bummed out that they got rid of the WDCC figurines and wall of Sericels!!!

They replaced the room with kids winter clothes...

The other Disney Store in the area (Bellevue) switched to the Home store last year...and that's when I stopped going there.

Looks like I will just purchase items online and at the parks from now on....These local stores are going down hill fast!

our store (Sunday) only had all costumes at 1/3 off; pins 50% off, some plush Halloween Boos and Sulleys for 50% off, then some Pooh characters in pastel colors at 50% off, and Country Bear plush for 50% off and that was it. I wasn't too impressed...

Saw where a couple of people mentioned getting a $10 gift card with Lilo & Stitch DVD pre-order. I don't see where that's mentioned on the website (just the lithographs). Is that some kind of regional special?

Thanks!
Dawn

You can only get the $10 gift card by preordering Lilo & Stitch and spending $50 (including the preorder) at Disney Store, not disneystore.com or in the catalog.

My family and I went to one of three stores in the Austin, TX area.
My wife is a big fan of beauty & the beast, so after she picked out some things, I shushed her out so I could get the talking plush beast for $15(It's her b-day next week!) I believe it originally was $28. I did also get the 10% discount. I had to look around and see the things they had for the columbus day sale. Costumes, pins, beauty & the beast merchandise(but not all of it). We also went to get two sleeping gowns for our nieces that were marked 35% off.
I was sweet talked into pre-ordering Lilo & Stitch(xmas gift for our son), and yes, I did get the $10 gift card, coupon book, and 4 lithographs. I looked at the coupon book, and one has to spend some serious money to get a deal.
Recently my wife and I went to the disney store at the rivercenter mall in san antonio, and I was sorely disappointed. They had a very generic collection of items-lots of regular plush-no adult clothing of any kind.
I feel the best selection is at the lakeline mall in austin-this store is a little bit bigger than the other two.
